I am thinking of starting school for it and want to know in general, how much they get paid? I mean is it like 9.00 an hour or something?

You could make more working for an accounting firm or CPA than a chain (H&R, Dale Tax Services, etc.). H&R you'll probably make about $10 an hour....paid to you first as minimum wage & then they calculate your commission, subtract the hourly wage they paid you, and you get a check for the difference if there is any.

But, get trained, work for someone else to get experience, and then maybe you can go into business for herself.

Depends on location.

My fee for busines is $50 to 65 per hour, but this includes preparing and filing.

My fee for person is $20 per hour, but this includes preparing and filing.

Depends on whether you're a CPA or, at the other end of the scale, an H&R Block seasonal worker, or something in between.

I live in Minnesota and the state does a biannual survey of wages. Please see the following link: http://www.deed.state.mn.us/lmi/tools/oes.htm
I hope you find this enlightening. You can use the tool on this link to look at the wage rate for almost any occupation you can think of. I am sure many states do this same type of survey.

Depending on where you live the rate varies. I believe the average is 10.50
