I adopted a black cat one year and thats what I named him... call him jack for short if you'd like. Its cute and definately a kid-friendly name!

The best way to name any animal really though, is to wait a couple days to see it's personality; then go from there =)

I have a black kitten and I call him Inky...he is a cutie...ya know it makes me realize just how unfair a lot of people have been to black cats over the years even hurting them because of the color of their fur. In fact Inky is one of the most adorable cats I have ever had...and snuggles up close to me all the time...ahhhh
Oh also I think your name would be very cute for a black female kitten...Cinderella!...like black soot...I think that would be so cool! and you could call it Cinder for short!
