I agree with Kevin m hind sight is always 20-20 and with the info we had at the time we were certainly justified in invading Iraq, as we were told by our sorry *** C,I,A, and F,B.I. , AND OTHER INTELLIGENT AGENCY'S that Saddam had w.m.d, which turned out to be false, but, how long would it have been before that prediction was true if we had not invaded?? I personally feel we should have concentrated on Afghanistan and got O,B,L before we took on Iraq , but our intelligence agents said time was of the essence, so , if any one agency is to blame it is theirs, what would you have our president or any other president do , with the same intelligence put before him ?? the president must go on the information placed before him, I think the ones who fed the false info to the president should be tried in a court of law , and made to pay for their lies, instead their careers are and will stay in tact, while many innocent people die,
I don't like G.W,B, but please give the devil his due,

Afghanistan was a go 1) because they were a danger to us and our way of life, 2) you have to strike back when attacked, 3) getting rid of the Taliban and finding Bin Laden was/is a must to win the war. As a liberal I have to say I loved striking back at the Taliban. Iraq was a mistake because 1) they were not a threat to us, 2) they never did anything to us, 3) the war is un-winnable, 4) the timing of the war would cause it to be the US against all Muslims which is not in our best favor. Another reason is that us going into Iraq was based on bad info which many of our own gov't and the rest of the free world questioned.

Well, we went to Iraq because they had WMDs, a program to develop WMDs and nuclear weapons, and we were afraid Saddam would use them or give them to terrorists.

20/20 hindsight being what it is, we know none of that is true. We found no WMDs. Captured documents and interrogations revealed a WMD program in disarray. Obviously we should not have invaded Iraq.

We were totally justified in invading Afghanistan. They were aiding and providing sanctuary for islamic terrorists that had attacked the USA big time, and would continue to do so. We gave them a chance to turn the terrorists over to us, or work with us to stop them, and they refused.

Should of finished the job the first time in the first Gulf War when everbody was with the US but now it was a big mistake, the US should of finished the war in Afghanistan instead of starting the big mess Iraq.

afganistan did not invade us. a rogue group that operated within afghanistan attacked us. we should not have invaded iraq, we should have finished finding bin laden in afghanistan because he is allegedly responsible for 9/11. iraq had nothing to do with it and saddam was contained. we had nothing to gain from invading iraq and everything to lose.

dont worry about it. generals and the president should decide on that, beacause they have the top secret clearance, not you. And dont go by what the media says, because as you should know they report on the bad side of war only.
