to change things now, to make your life easier and safer, and/or for him to bring on Armageddon, and an the end of this system of things soon, so that all evil doers will be punished?
Every time I see on the TV news that community activists and pastors are holding a public prayer in a high crime area, they never include asking God to bring an end to all evil, just what is happening in their particular area. If one is putting on a pubic display of prayer, don't you think that they should include the fact that one day all evil will end, along with those associated with it?

When we ask God to take away all evil, in essence, we are asking Him to take away free will. He won't do it.
God wants us to choose Him; free will. Otherwise, we'd just be good little robots.
Matt. 6:5-6 is about someone looking for attention; not something done corporately (a group of believers gathered together for a prayer vigil). If that were not the case, then prayer services in Church wouldn't happen.
God knows our heart when we pray.

Its evil itself to think or wish the evil doers be punished. And so your wish itself is creating what u wish not to happen. Lets forgive the evil doers, empathize with them, love them and the evil in them will melt. By the way, the core of your wish to have a heaven on earth is very close, trust me.

um it says in the bible that you should not pray so that people may see. you should not go out in the streets and make it known that you are praying, cause prayer is supposed to be your relationship with christ, not done so others know your a professed christian. like normal i find those people are all show and know knowledge of the bible itself. sickens me all these people proclaiming christianity and know nothing of the bible itself.
Matthew 6:5-6
Prayer
5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

No. Those activists are hypocrites and they still haven't figured out that it's up to them to stop the crime. You're referring to the black population of course. There is no other population around that creates such havoc in its own backyard as black people and they whine and cry about crime not being solved, yet will they come forward as witnesses? no, they run and hide under their beds.

This seems really odd to me, because Matthew 6 goes out of its way to specifically tell people not to pray in public.
6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
