This is the second cat that we had do this. They were given away together, so my husband and I adopted them both. The first cat was an obese female cat, only 4 years old. She also threw up at least once a day. We brought her to the vet to check for infections, but they didn't find anything and blamed it on anxiety. We gave her meds for that, but ended up having to give her away because the leaking just got so bad. Now about 6 months later, our male cat is doing the same thing. He's only 6, and he is overweight, but not as bad as the other cat was. The past couple of days my husband and I have been finding tiny little wet spots that smelled like urine, and now I'm freaking out. I love this cat so much, and I'll go crazy if I have to give him up. Please someone help! We don't have the money right now for vet bills and I'm really scared I'll have to lose this cat too.

That really sounds like a UTI to me....

Clean the spots with Nature's Miracle, or a product like it, to eliminate the smell. Clean his litterbox daily, to keep track of how often he is going... if he isn't using the litterbox and is leaving small piddles, I would try to find a vet with payment plans, or a low cost vet, because that would indicate urinary issues.

As the other poster said, it sounds like a urinary tract infection.

Cats are specialized carnivors but the high protein diet they MUST eat puts a stress on their kidneys and urinary/kidney problems are common in cats.
