Cuz they are helpless sheep. We are all Sims, who says god has to give a flying f-ck. He just pulls the levers, the rest is just wish full thinking on our part. Be glad you are alive and have free will ,if you choose to believe so, that's how wars start, people throw free will out the window for a bunch of crap written on papyrus 2000 years ago.
We are all looking for a father figure, save me daddy!!!
"Our father who art in heaven" , what the hell is 'art'? time to change that one
Daddy are you there?

You have a very simplified idea of God, probably because you haven't bothered to find out about him for yourself. He is not some father christmas jolly old man, he is a lot more than that. He didn't make the world a bad place, we did. He will one day (possibly soon) come back and put it right. In the meantime, he is still present in the world and works alongside us to put things right. He also uses suffering to make us better people. Check this link for a comprehensive study on this subject.

What is happening in the world is mans own fault. Technology has destroyed the natural things in the world. Also the sexual habits have fuelled the aids. Fammine do to war and some down to the greedy rich nations not paying enough for labour, food exports. If there was no god where did this planet come from.

Free will. God is not going to help you every time you are in trouble. he gave us the ability to help our selves. If he programmed us to simply love him and all live in harmony that wouldnt be true love. it would be more like machines. All the troubles in this world are man made, we can also make them stop if we wanted to. But its funny you should mention this, because more and more people are moving away from God and at the same time things arent getting better. But when something goes wrong we then ask "where is God?" God told us how we should live, but most of us dont listen, that includes alot of religious as well as non religious people. We are all accountable for our actions, dont blame God. After all, we are all put on this earth to be tested, who is worthy of inheriting life ever lasting.

When man was created he was given free will and it is man that causes all the chaos and destruction. Like an earthly father He lets us make our own decisions for good or ill and gives us our chance to make the world a better place but until we live His way putting God first. others next and self last we can only expect more of the same

most people that believe in a god also believe in an after life...after life is where justice is served and compassion is given.
i do believe that believing in a god gives a person hope to hang on to when life sucks! I would never want to take that hope away from someone just because i don't agree with how they believe. nor would i say that because they believe in a god they should ask themselves this kind of a question; god is like a warm blanket that keeps them warm at night, that keeps them safe.

So how do you think the world would be, if God just stepped in on every bad occasion and fixed it for us? If God stopped every bad thing from happening to everyone? I wonder if you have done anything considered bad, harmful or sinful in your life? How would you feel if God decided he would prevent you from doing so? How would you feel, if God made all the decisions about your life for you and never allowed you to make a mistake?? Think deeply about this!

Because many people attempt to use their belief in God to insulate themselves from all of the chaos in the world.

They want to believe it, so they say they do. The sad fact is, most live in a constant state of cognitive dissonance as a result. Every once in a while, they'll "backslide" or have doubts. These are the moments when their mind comes close to curing itself of the virus that attacks it. Sadly, most simply don't have a strong enough immune system to overcome it.
