I've heard that when you've been raped part of you dies-mentally. So if that is the case then it is sort of the same thing right? Only when you've been raped you're still alive-physically. Which is worse? Being emotionally dead or being physically dead? I would choose to be killed as long as it wasn't a long, slow, gruesome death. If I was raped then I would always have that in my mind. I would always be afraid of something that has already happened. That would be torture for the rest of my life. Also, if the person had an STD then that would even be more unbearable. So yes, I would rather be killed.

Raped of course, but on the other hand if it was by another man I would rather choose being killed. Of course if it was the fat lady from the circus then I could close my eyes and fantasize LOL. Then again if she had AIDS I would have to choose being killed. Depends on the method of being killed. I would not choose to be killed if I was to be burned alive. So I don't really know what I would choose. Depends on the circumstances.

I would rather be raped then killed. Why? Being raped and stay alive is way better then not being raped and killed. People say that you are shamed when you are raped but who cares my life is more important.

You did not specify whether surviving the rape would mean being in an incapicated state either temporarily or permanently or to what degree. I think that is an important consideration. (1) Personally it would be easier on me to be killed instantly rather than raped and suffer a long recovery and/or incapacitation. But for family and friends, if I could recover from the rape, it would be less to deal with than if I were killed. So for the sake of others I would have to choose that. (2) Also, as long as I survived the attack and could communicate with the attacker, that would be better because I could testify in court and insist on restitution that would help both families of offenders and victims of rapes. I would ask for more support for legislation to require family and acquaintances of known violent or criminally illl people to report to authorities and get them help before someone is killed or attacked. The punishment for not reporting in advance would be that any subsequent violent crime committed against persons or crime using a firearm would be punishable by losing one's citizenship and being deported to a foreign prison to serve time. However, if the criminal behavior is reported and help is sought, even for crimes already committed, the person would have the right to serve out the sentence in this country. I would also ask for a restitution program where convicts can serve time by working in a foreign factory in place of child laborers, so that for any child they raped or killed, another young child has a chance to go to school and have a better life than being sold into sweatshop labor or worse sex trafficking. I think that would make up for having been raped, to know that sex offenders are working in place of children otherwise sold into slavery to feed their families in poor countries. (3) In general I feel that by advocating for such a restitution program now, instead of waiting to be raped or attacked to do it, this idea would start to raise the sensitivity about preventing crime by early intervention and by promoting real consequences for crimes through direct and meaningful restitution. So I would hope that by promoting real solutions this way, this would address the problems that allow rape, murders, and other violence to continue when all crimes can be prevented by getting help in advance for spiritual and emotional sickness that causes criminal illness and behavior. (4) If anyone knows anyone who has been attacked or raped and is interested in promoting this idea for restitution in foreign labor service, would you please contact me. If you know anyone with a violent background or criminal addiction, will you please get them spiritual help to curb or heal their addiction or oppression. My website is below, along with two links to healing ministries that have successfully healed mentally or criminally ill people. I had lost a high school friend to a fatal attack, and also a colleague in college who was raped and murdered by someone later executed on Texas Death Row. I would like to set up more effective alternatives that encourage early detection and restitution for better deterrence, correction, and prevention, because these things do not have to happen. I would like to do more to stop rape, crime and murder on behalf of people who still inspire me today -- from my friend Shelley Sikes, whose body was never found, for Cynthia Rounsaville and her parents, whom I never met but impressed me deeply, and for people like Pam Lynchner, who was kidnapped in an attempted rape-murder and later arose as the head of a crime victims rights movement after being sued and tormented by her attacker from prison. Criminal illness can be healed and cured. There is no excuse to let sick people go without help while endangering the public. One day there will be no more rape and murder because people will know to get help before it leads to that point. Thank you. Emily Nghiem, Houston Progressive . Org
