I get that it's the "devil" that gives us temptation. but still, men go crazy w/ everything to do w/ sex. i'm not making excuses for them, but sometimes it's how they're made that makes them cheat, etc. I'm trying to make my question more clear so basically...Why did God have to make men so g'darn horny b*stards when it comes to sex?

btw, this has nothing to do w/ me. i'm kind of a feminist and i've just always wondered this

First the Bible says James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. "
Temptation comes from within, and is strongest where we have failed before, that untimately ends up in addictions in any area of sin including sex.
God created naturral desires in people, and the second strongest desire after survival is for procreation. If it was not that way humanity could ultimately disapear. Men have a strong stimulation through the visual much more than women do. A hundrend years ago there was no where near the visual stimulation that there is today, look at the way women dressed in 1900. Today everywhere you go men face sexual stimualation. On the streets, on the beaches, on bill boards, on TV at the movies, at home, at work, in comedy, in conversation, and many more places. They are constantly bombarded by it and constantly in a state of arousal. God never intended for people to create a society with that type of sexual enviroment and society pays a severe price for it, including, rape, child moslestation, adultry, and many more things. It is not what God intended, it is what humans have created just for their own pleasure. As long as people can make money off of sexual stimulation I don't think it is going to diminish.

God CANNOT tempt you. This is the devil. Whats interesting is that the way man thinks, and by man i mean all humans, is the EXACT way the devil thinks. God intends for you to save yourself until after marriage. A relationship that is true and not lustful can successfully wait until marriage. I know what you are talking about because i am in one of those relationships. I am tempted by many things the devil throws at me, but as long as my focus is on God and God alone, i have no problems! Experience how He makes it possible for you to do things you never would imagine! If you have any further questions, feel free to e-mail me! May the Lord Bless You Abundantly!!!

God made sex that way to fit the role that he placed both men and women in. The Bible said that a man would leave his father and mother and cleave only unto his wife... He needs the physical to be drawn to her.

Also God made sex to cause the "two to become one". It is an important part of unifying the husband and wife. There is temptation to have sex before marraige, but the problems and temptation is greatly heightened and much more difficult to overcome when we begin to establish sexual relationships out side of marriage.

The desire was made so strong---more so in man because he is the pursuer by nature---so interaction could be enjoyed by a legitimate couple but unfortunately most men and women are too immediate to reserve that passion for one person they will love forever. All the stupid things men do in their strong desire for a women is due to their want of instantaneous gratification and aesthetic (superficial) appreciation of a women as opposed to something more profound and spiritual (women do this too but it's probably more abundant in men due to their apparently stronger drive). Once again, this drive is not a bad thing as nothing God has created is but it's the things we do with God's blessings---out of immediacy and ignorance---that defile these beautiful gifts.

Lord knows. There's nothing in Genesis to explain it. We know Satan is a fallen angel, supposedly. For all we know, Satan is God's one bad apple, no pun intended. All families have one bad apple who is contrary to everyone else. Wonder what God's wife, brothers and other sons are like?
I mean, how can you explain about sex and all that it entails when no one can explain coherently about incest between Cain, Abel and dear mom, Eve to get the population going.
And don't forget, according to God, we became just like God and his family, knowing good and bad. Says so right there in Genesis 3:22.
so obviously there are other Gods. And maybe other forms of sex.

GOD made men and women the way they are so they can have sex ,but you are supposed to be responsible with it.

Because sex is a good thing in the right context. He wants husbands and wives to strengthen their relationship with sex for fun, and have families with sex for procreation.

The desire isn't a bad thing - it's just all about context.

Because those men have to take control of their lusts. Actually, they have to give up control, and let God be in control of their lives.
