He has lots of cat food.
Does he want to be a vegetarian like me? or he just loves me too much?

I once had a cat that loved Hershey candy bars.
My cat now likes potato chips, french fries, and she loves ice cream. She has even licked on suckers from time to time.
As long as you are not feeding her too much of this she should be fine.
They are curious creatures and like to try different foods.
Just don't overdue it with her and you shouldnt have a problem.

There's nothing wrong with your cat. Animals tend to like things other than their own stuff--it may be for variety (after all, how would we humans like it if we had to eat nothing but one precise meal over and over?), or it may be in curiosity. My dog just wants anything he can have that's not his normal dog food... if I offer, he'd take it. I try not to encourage that so he's getting the balance he needs from his own food, or else I fear he'd start refusing to eat his dog food in favor of mine. Or it may be his cat food isn't right for him, as animals can gauge their own bodies (try a different food).

I doubt your cat is lacking anything nutritionally if you've got him on a well-balanced cat food.

As to turning your cat into a vegetarian, I do NOT recommend it. Animals need balance in their diet. Cats are primarily carnivorous, so an all-vegetable diet would not fulfill his needs properly. Even for humans, intelligent beings as we supposedly are, it's hard to actually be a vegetarian in a truly healthful way, and so many people execute that attempt poorly (not getting the supplementation they need and would normally get from meats, or, in the case of vegans, meats/dairy/egg/animal product of all types), actually diminishing their own health (not improving it as they think they are by giving themselves the title "vegetarian"--my friend became vegetarian, but eats terribly, consuming gobs of sugary crap and junk food... no balance, no supplements...). But as hard as it is for humans to do, it'd be harder on the cat, because, while WE can take or leave meat, cats (wild cats especially) tend to LIVE on meat. Perhaps the healthiest thing is to not let your cat rule you: don't let him eat from your food (keep it all put away when you're done/not eating), don't give him table scraps so often, etc. Teach him that he will not be allowed pieces of YOUR food until he eats HIS food (it's like young children: eat your dinner before you can have dessert).

Hope that helped :) Good luck!

Nothing is wrong with your cat. Its perfectly fine. My cat does the same thing, she eats cake, potato chips, cheezits, and lately likes to steal the candy out of the candy dish. I think that its just curious or just likes human food, its possible!

Try a different brand of cat food, he might not like that kind. Other than that, i don't think it's such a crazy idea that a cat would want to chow on everything you do. Dogs do it all the time. Food is food.

cats are vey curious. My cat doesnt eat what I eat but she sniffs around it like she would. But there are certain foods she will try to get too. I suggest getting a garbage can with a lid or you will be waking up to trash on the ground like I did, LOL.

if he's a kitten he'll be willing to try anything anyone else is eating (kitten- under 1 years old) just dont let your kitty try milk, it is a wide conseption that they like milk (which they do) but it is very bad for them, they are lactose. kitties are hunters so im not so sure it was to give up all meat, i'll just go with the whole love you alot part :)

Some cats are like that! My 9 month old kitten doesn't like her cat food. She eats steak, pork chops, doughnuts, bread, etc... When I cook something, she smells it and she comes running!!

Watch that caffiene! It's very bad for animals. No chocolate. No coffee.

But as for the cake, he probably likes the sweet or the dairy in it.
