I have flown quite a few light aircraft and somtimes if the wind is strong enough have to force them down on the runway at full throttle,My question is to do with aircraft carriers,is it true that these pilots have to land at full throttle in case they miss the arrester wire and have to go round again.

I was on the USS Nimitz in the early to mid 80s and watched flight ops many times and yes they gun the throttle when the wheels hit the deck in case they miss the wire or the wire snaps.

Yes absolutely, think of the poor pilots body when the arrestor cables engage 180mph to zero in 2/3 seconds!

I am wondering how many poor pilots took a nose dive into the sea, before some bright young thing came up with that solution.

Yes, thats true but anly for the navy, and it's only for fixed wing air crafts, Most popular one is the F/A 18.

your canines must be fed in basic terms as quickly as an afternoon. in spite of they do no longer eat must be bumped off. Are there fairly some canines feces around. If there are then sparkling them up. no count if it is on pavement or stone, wash it down with a hose to do away with residual fecal count. do no longer go away any food for the flies around and that they'll go away.

Yes, the reason for this is so if they miss the cord that stops them they have enough speed to take off and retry.

Oh yeah you got that right, otherwise they'd miss on accident but not have the speed to save themselves and plumet into the ocean
