I need to lose weight from my stomach.

Well first of all you can NOT target where you loose weight, that is a myth. You can only loose total body fat, which in turn will reveal your stomach muscles.

Second, no machine works better to target your abdominal muscles than doing crunches. I read a study not long ago where a research team did studies of different abdominal exercise, machines, fads, etc.. and they came to the conclusion that the CRUNCH was the best abdominal exercise. (aside from the weighted crunch-->more weight = more workout)

Now to really answer your question about making your mid section look better, it has 80% to do with your nutrition and 20% to do with your activity levels.
You need to eat at lease 5 times per a day where your total caloric intake equals 20% less than your daily maintenance calorie level. These meals should be balanced meals with proteins, complex carbs and good fats.
i also recommend that you workout for 30 minutes at least 3-5 times per week.

If you follow these guidelines you will turn your body into a fat incinerator.

Unfortunately fat can’t be controlled by specific exercises. The great thing is if you’re exercising consistently as well as eating proper nutrients and the right amount of calories that are proper for your energy deficit, you WILL lose fat

Fat works on a FILO (first in, last out) basis. In other words, you lose fat first in the areas where you gained it last in the process of putting on weight.

Crunches aren’t going to do it if you’re really serious about reducing your waistline. Do 3-5 aerobic workouts weekly that last anywhere from 30-60 minutes for the best weight loss results. By aerobic, I mean walking, jogging, cycling, skating – anything that uses your larger muscle groups in your legs, back and chest in a repetitive manner, gets you breathing heavy and can be sustained for a comparatively long period of time.

Hope this helps!!

there are a lot of ab machines that you can work on but there is one exercise that works better than any and all of those machines, the sit up. People might call it a grandfathered exercise or not still "in style" but I"m here to tell you that from college until now...it works...the only time it doesnt work is one I dont do them.

Honestly, There is no machine or certain exercise that "target" body parts or areas. With a good diet high in red meat ,eggs and green veggies, (zero or little carbs !) and some HIIT training, you'll see amazing results just for fatloss. If you work out enough to lose fat, you'll build enough abdominal muscles for big ,cut abs. Look into High-intensity interval training.

This is a frequent question on the Kimkins Diet discussion boards. Their certified athletic trainer says:

1) You can't lose fat only from your stomach
2) The best "tool" for ab work is a rolling pin, forget expensive gadgets.

For me, the Ab Lounge works WONDERS. Seriously. I don't have the best back and neck due to numerous car accidents, so the tradition crunch is hard on me. The Ab Lounge supports my back and neck while toning my abs AND my arms. The jack knife position is the best. I strongly suggest the Ab Lounge.

You should also give Yoga a try. It would tone your whole body and give you more flexibility.

No machine can replace the power of "sit-ups" for your stomach.

No machine does a better job than good old sit-ups and crunches.
