Hell no. First teenagers are not responsible enough to handle a sports car. They are inexperienced at driving, and they will want to drive super fast to show how "cool" they are to their friends. I mean I wouldn't care so much, but I am a person who drives to school, to work, etc. everyday just like the other billions in America. I wouldn't want some stupid irresponsible teenager crashing into me. This would cause so many problems (Hours at the accident scene with the Police, hours on the phone with my insurance company, etc.) All teenagers should start out with a vehicle that is a piece of junk. So that if they do crash it, it won't be much of a problem as a new car. This is just me personal opinion...

As someone who's first car was a 1978 Corvette, I would say emphatically no! I wanted my parents to get me a Corvette for my first car, but they wouldn't. They instead told me that if I could buy one, then i could drive it and they would pay insurance as long as I did not get any tickets. It worked great. I started saving money (I cut yards as a source of income) when I was 14. I bought my car when I turned sixteen. After working hard to two years to save enough (the car ran me $7600) to buy the car I never wanted to do anything stupid in it that might damage the car. I drove it for 6 years and loved every minute of it. Never had a wreck or speeding ticket. If my parents had given me the car, I don't think I would have respected it as I did. It would have been wrapped around a telephone pole, probably with me still inside.

it extremely is the place i recover from shielding. Too many youngsters smeared on too many roads on account that I left HS. A pupil's grandfather picked up his degree. His grandson have been killed in a accident 3 days previously commencement. His BAO became two times the decrease. did no longer be attentive to whilst to end eating the two. And it did no longer advance his driving. He became on my own interior the vehicle thank God. We merely had a bad accident wherein 3 or 4 childrens died on the throughway with yet another teen became driving with purely a beginners enable, or in keeping with possibility had _just_ gotten a license days previously. way severe speed and a blown tire met green driver. The SP stated the driving force became going a minimum of 80 miles an hour whilst the tire blew. Thank God he became wearing a seat belt--not one of the others have been. there have been a pair different youngsters who survived, they have been thrown out the back of the rolling Van into grass and dirt. they're broken, in keeping with possibility for all times. that's a state regulation which you're able to desire to have a seat belt on yet once you're sixteen and bulletproof and function the know-how and judgment of the gods, you journey the wind and not something undesirable ever occurs once you're heading for the sea coast. perfect? Reactions have been severe. some choose for the driving force to flow to penitentiary (till he's a minimum of twenty one) for Vehicular homicide. Others are asserting "Oh, no it became purely a mistake, one and all makes errors. We might desire to no longer decide the driving force, he feels so undesirable." people who inadvertently reason the dying of others _should_ sense undesirable. and that they might desire to income from it. i'm hoping this does flow to courtroom. IF this baby gets off, i'm hoping he has to handle each and every HS interior the area on driving protection. despite the fact that his considerable issue, as stated interior the paper, seems looking a continuation college the place he can play soccer. life is going on...I do think of youngsters might desire to be 18 previously they get a license. not at all happen however. What handed off to effects for movements?

It will involved in a fender bender or smacked up with the first year of driving
so stay reasonable with the cost- buy something at least 4 years old ,considered safe, without a lot of horsepower
IF the child wants to buy their own 1st car- you have no say in what they purchase
son's 1st car ( he bought) a 1970 GTO
smacked it up 2 weeks after ownership
I smacked up my 1970 Mavrick Grabber- 1 week after getting it

No. I dont think that would teach responsiblity, the value of earning something, or of being humble. They will learn about what it is like to have friends who arent real. They will tend to think that they are better than others without such a car.
And last but not least: I didnt get one, so no one else should.

Depends who is paying for the insurance, it will cost more than the car for a driver with no driving experience to drive a sportscar.

No. And this is coming from a 19 year old. You will do damage to your first car- bumps and scratches here and there including other things that go along with learning how to drive (i.e. too hard on the breaks, turning the steering wheel too hard, etc). This damage will all add up.

Teenagers love speed. That's why sports car insurance is so high. Don't do it if you want them to be around for a while.
On the other hand a 4 cyl. Mustang would be OK.

No, for the first car give them something not so expensive their just learning how to drive and you don't want to ruin a sports car.Let them get comfotable with driving first then give them the srpots car.
Maybe you could but the sports car and hide it until you know they can drive good then surprise them and teach them how to drive it.

I'd say no. It's too dangerous for a new driver to have a fast car. But It really depends on the responsibility of the kid
