I read somewhere recently that if you count backwards from 300 to 0 by threes then you will go to sleep fast. It works sometimes for me.

I know you said you don't like pills, but I believe Melatonin can really aid your sleep patterns. Melatonin is naturally occuring in your body, and the pill is all natural. In Nutrition and Wellness 101, we did an exercise to a tape with ocean sounds in the background. You were to lay on your back and concentrate on relaxing everything 1 at a time. Start with your toes, then feet, then knees, then thighs, the fingertips and all the way to your head, eyelids, and mouth. You should be sleeping before you get through the entire body, and try not to let your mind wander. Focus, it just might work.

Sorry. No tricks. But try to reduce external stimuli. Don't try to sleep with the TV on. The brain is still processing what your ears are hearing. The technique I use is to visualise a candle burning. There are degrees of light in the flame. Focus on the blue part of it. Slow your breathing down. The next thing you'll hear is the alarm clock going off.

Before you go to sleep make sure the room where your bed is tidy. This makes it a lot easier to relax when everything is put away. Also, make the bed before getting into it so the covers will not be twisted and untucked. Also, do not eat something too heavy, maybe just a glass of milk so that you feel satisfied. Take a hot shower and focus on just clearing your mind. When you get in the bed to go to sleep completely clear you mind of everything and focus on breathing in and out slowly. Next, mentally picture a flight of stairs and start going down them in your mind. Start at 100 and by the time you get to 1 you will be out! Also, reading helps me fall asleep because during the R.E.M. phase of sleep when we dream our eyes exeperience rapid eye movement (REM). When I read my eyes move back and forth like in REM and this makes my body feel like it is time to sleep. Hope this works for you! Sweet dreams.

Sometimes reading a book, even if it's a good book, will make me fall asleep. Ot you can buy chamomile tea, that usually works. This may sound silly, but if you go to bed with a lot on your mind, and write down what you're thinking before you fall asleep, you may be able to fall asleep faster because you're not thinking about what you have to do tomorrow, or what happened during that day.

Try waking up early like 4 am. Don't take any naps no matter how tired you are. Then, you will be able to fall asleep fast. Even if you don't see the result on the first night, repeat the process. I guarantee you will see the result in a week.

about an hour before you want to go to sleep try to calm down and relax. make this a daily routine and the more you do it will get easier! no lie. you should not exercise or have anything with caffeine in it like 4 hours before you want to go to sleep. turn the lights down to dim and quiet the noise level and cuddle up to a good TV show, book, or your honey pie! :-)

nyquil it not in any respect fails me. i imagine some everyone is in basic terms evening human beings. no count number how early i upward push up and how lively i'm i nonetheless dont doze off till 2 or 3 contained in the morning so i gave up attempting lol If im feeling quite stressful and cant nod off i take 1/2 a dose of nyquil and im asleep interior the hour.
