Turn off the TV and ask the 10 year old what he/she wants to do. Have that be the activiy.

Next night ask the 8 year old. and so on. No fair saying, "That's stupid." to the younger ones." Play. Or go read if you don't like what they picked.

Baking: Kids love to cook. Cobblers are good. Cookies are good. Everybody make dessert after dinner, and help clean up. Turnovers are fun.

I commend you for the effort you are making. I would be very proud to have you as a big sister.

You can also assign them each a little chore. Tell them you are going to time them for 5 minutes. Have one pick up the toys. (2 year old and 4 year old.) Tell them to put stuff on the sofa. Then have the 10 and 8 year old put the stuff where it belongs. They can help, too.

scavenger hunt

everyone helps cook dinner/lunch (4 and 2 year olds can be "assistants" to the older ones, 6 year old can set the table, draw a menu, maybe pour drinks)

everyone draws a name from a hat and has to do something nice for that person that day

blast fun music and clean the house (can you imagine how happy mom/dad would be!?)

"cup bowling": use paper cups as "pins" and a rubber ball (the kind you buy at the toy store or drug store from a giant cage-thing). use a hallway as the bowling lane.

get a DVD that teaches you how to dance, push back the furniture and have everyone try it out. if nothing else, you'll have some good laughs!!

Hope some of those help!

Ok here's something to calm them down, Go outside and pick a special stone with the kids. Then go back in the house and you first hide the stone. You make the rules like only on the bottom, or top floor ect. you can tell the kids if your hot or cold and then the first one to find it hides the stone next. Play a board game with them when they get bored with the stone. Bake some cookies,(don't forget to clean up as you go along) and then mabe pop in a movie.

Are you old enough to take them somewhere? Like to the park or show? I used to always babysit and now I have a 3 year old and she just like to play games or watch movies. Play dress up or have the kids help you cook or paint. Good Luck and have fun

because of their ages, you need to divide them and you take some of them and your older sister take the others. i think you need to play with the 2 and 4 yr old seperate from the 10,8, and 6 yr old. i would take them all to the park and then do different stuff at the park with them, like play on the little kid stuff with the little ones, play basketball or frisbee with the others. i'm sure you'll find something. even at home, play ball, frisbee or volleyball with the older ones, and then read stories or do something different with the little ones.

Try a craft project.
Go and buy a big box of craft sticks and a few bottles of school glue and let thim build until their heats are content!!!
I have a 12 and 6 year old and this keeps them happy for hours.

rent movies. Kids are always into movies. Cook a meal while they watch the movie so when it's over they can eat. After that you can take them to the park. When you're done with all this the time will seem like it flew by quick!

You have to divide them into 2 groups to cut out the fighting.
