Allah (God) says in Qur'an
{{Does man think that he will be left Suda [neglected without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allâh) on him]?
Was he not a Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge of semen) poured forth?
Then he became an 'Alaqa (a clot); then (Allâh) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion.
And made him in two sexes, male and female
Is not He (Allâh Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things)}}
and says and another chapter
{{Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?"
So Exalted be Allâh, the True King, Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!
And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allâh, any other ilâh (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kâfirûn (the disbelievers in Allâh and in the Oneness of Allâh, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful
And say (O Muhammad SAW): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!}}

I say to each their own!
Some people choose to have children and get married, some people choose to work and just make money, some do it all, some do none of it.
Whatever you wish for in life can come true as long as you keep your mind to it. I don't necessarily believe that we were put here for a granduer purpose but I do think that since we were given this life we should make the most of it!

Life has no external meaning. We are not 'put here' to do something.
Internally, we can ascribe to it any meaning we wish. I live my life questing for knowledge because I find the particulars of my quest fun, I find the intellectual challenge invigorating. To heck with the fact I believe that there is no meaning from the outside, don't believe in the existence of existence, don't believe in free will. I still 'percieve' the sensation of 'fun' and so I go on with my life not caring about the inherent meaningless and pointlessness of life.

When I asked this question to the almighty, the following answer arrived: look at life is an abbreviation and not a word. L I F E, L stands for love/lord, I stands for Infinite, F is for finited and E is for experiencing/evolving. Lord or eternal Love is Infinite and is Finited into different beings who are experiencing themselves, or Evolving to who they are. Part of this evolution/experience is to go to school, get a job, have kids, die, etc. But more important is to realize who we are, awaken, experience the ONE in duality, see yourself in all forms, to love, to forgive. Love all as it is part of you in different forms and forgive all, as it is you in all forms.

This question show up regularly...
The answer I like best is "The meaning of life is life itself". We are here to make what we can out of life, and whatever meaning we assign to it is the meaning it has.
However, I also tend to believe the biological reason, the 'selfish gene' concept. We live, and all that we do, is an effort to pass on our genetic material.

Its not really a matter of how much you read your bible, but how strong your relationship with Christ is. Dont get me wrong, going to church, reading the bible, and praying are all things that are necessary and things that aid spiritual growth, but they are NOT things that measure your relationship. Christians tend to get into the "routineness" of christian living by doing such things. But theres a difference between doing it because you know thats what your supposed to do, and doing it because you have a burning desire to! A relationship with Christ is easier than people make it. As long as Christ is your daily focus, and you give EVERYTHING to Him, you experience God's intent of an abundant life. Your relationship is a process, dont expect to change overnight, and dont expect NOT to fail. God works with you regardless. But the more you trust Him and focus on Him completely, the more you see the way He works in you. Dont keep Him in the box, allow Him to show Himself in all aspects of your life! To you and anyone else who should read this, May the Lord Bless You Abundantly!!!

Certainly not. The supreme aim to make the world a better place and thus be the best worshippers of God. Look around, find a needy, stretch out your hands and give; time, money, hope, anything - you will then feel why you are here.
May Allah accept our good deeds and guide us to do more
Peace
