When writting a formal invition its all in the wording. Start off with you are cordially invited to _____________. This gives the reader the idea that the party is going to be rather fancy. List everything that you would a normal invitation but add on formal dress requested, or to be more forth coming formal dress requried. If you find that formal dress isn't really what you want try proper dress. I'm sure most of your friends will understand what proper dress means espically if your turning 18 and have ever been to a club. Keep the invitations simple and overall enjoy your 18th birthday!! you only get one!!

"I made it to 18 without my parents burying me under the patio or selling me to vivisectionists. Come and help me celebrate".

Seriously, I had an 18th birthday party (all those years ago! doesn't seem possible!) I wish I hadn't bothered and had gone on a great holiday instead. The birthday present I remember the most was a bottle of beauty lotion. Didn't work though.

FINALLY LEGAL!

AND YOU THOUGHT BRITNEY HAD PRISONERS ANXIOUS FOR THE ARRIVAL OF HER 18TH BIRTHDAY. . .

or is that a bit much? haha, it really depends on your theme(if any). Do you have a theme yet? Themes are essential for parties. Especially as we age.

The age 18 brings independence in the world as an adult, so playing off of that is always a good idea for casual, light hearted fun.

Themes could include anything you enjoy! Movies, Places, Activities, etc.

You could say that you had scabies and colon cancer, and that there is a real good chance this will be your last birthday. You could even ask for donations to defray the costs of the lengthy hospital stays.
