Hi guys
I am wondering if anyone has an idea about this topic which mentioned n title ... Is it mean that normal transmission lines inside one country between substation or it means the connection between countries in terms of power exchange ... I am getting stuck with this topic ,,, and I cant start writing about it .. Could you help me please by giving me your ideas about it and outlined the topic especialy in case of control and protection of these links ,,, Cheers

An interconnection link can be either an AC or DC transmission line between regions or countries and maybe an overhead or underground cable.
There are many high voltage single wire (earth return) high voltage dc links between countries that allow different power systems to transfer electric power easily and cheaply between systems with different frequencies.
