you may stand alone sometimes, are you afraid to be different, stand up for what you believe, even if you are seen as a voice in the wilderness, do you follow the multitude, and back down because you dont want to stand alone?......

alot of people just dont know who they are (yet) so they follow the majority in the meantime conforming to societys norms. it takes experience and passion to find urself, and respect will only come to those who respect themselfs. i reckon anyway.

I"m not always that strong but I have come to a place in my life where the approval of God is vastly more important than the approval of my peers. And my integrity is more important than being "popular". I don't mind standing alone if I am living by the word of God. If I back down and become a lukewarm christian, then Jesus will turn from me and say he "never knew me". Eternity is much more important than this temporary life.

Excellent questions. Sometimes I am brave and trust in God and see that it's okay to be a part of the minority and to stand alone because God is there with me so I'm really not alone... other times I'm a coward and fail the test. I'm working on it though!

I stand alone a lot.
But, I do think "standing alone" is easier for some people than others. Depends on your personality type and how you were raised.
