Flip it or put it in a beehive.

Check out the movie Austin Powers. You'll need mousse and lots of hair spray (aqua net is actually the best to achieve this.... plus it's what EVERYONE used back then - and you can still find that at the store)

Flip your head upside down, apply mousse to the roots.

Flip your hair back, and stand up straight (or sit, whichever is preferred) and take a rat-tail comb (fine tooth comb) and tease your hair to achieve the desired 'height'. (Teasing is holding a section of hair straight up, placing the comb about 1/2 way between your head and hand and combing toward your head). Do this all over except for the very front - which is the portion that you want to look smooth. Use hairspray diligently every now and again to hold.

Once your hair is teased, smooth the front and side hairs over the teased areas and spray the heck out of your hair. It will stay put. Don't forget to add a little outward flip to the bottom of your hair - and hairspray that too.

Bee Hives, large curls on the bottom, ( or flips ) Lots of Hair Spray! I was a teenager in the 60s, and as I look back on those pictures of my school class, I really have to laugh!

If you can't find it on the web, pull some high school year books from the library, or news articles that show women of the time.

Tease! Tease! Tease! lol That's what my sisters did in the 60's. (I was too young to care about style back then) You tease the top back so it puffs up but let your bangs hang down normal. Then you flip the ends up like Jacky Kennedy used to. Then you glob alot of black eye liner and light colored lipstick on. You'll look authentic. Have fun!

I would straighten it really flat and wear a wide Alice band. If you want a little body, flip it out on the ends.
Have fun!!

Got a hair band? That look was popular in the 60s.

Make your hair full (by back combing or ratting it) at the crown of your head and flip your ends up.
