Why are some people so against Pagan religions such as Wicca? What is it they dont like exactly?
Are people still so uneducated about other religions they believe all Pagans are Satanists?

Um Fryedaddy, no offence but I think you need to learn a little bit more about Pagan religions. I'll talk about Wicca, its Goddess based for starters, God is not a man so dont see how its not seperate. EG- Ever heard of Mother Nature??? Guess who that is.

Once they know more they'll see how christinaity stole all the holidays & rituals and they may question their own faith.

That's why the heads of the church (the ones who stopped believing long ago) research these things before hand so they can create good propaganda and prevent their parishioners form ever thinking rationally in the first place.

For genera tin they were told and taught that there was only one God, and that all other gods/goddesses were fake and were 'really' the devil in disguise. Basically a bunch of power hungry megalomaniacs who wanted absolute power over an entire population, and for a long time they were successful, but recently say for about the last fifty or so years this kind of control has been frowned upon. There are still people like Jerry Farwell (I have no clue how he spells his last name) who think that they have all the answers to everything pertaining to the divine, and manipulate good people through their faith into disliking everything that is not of their religion. Which is sad really, but there isn't much (if any thing) that we can do about that.

Peace Out and BB to all

Edit: Elars I really don't know but what ever it is has got to be really good for him to go off on a totally new level of misunderstanding.

I've studied numerous religions for more than 35 years. According to some religions, any religion that isn't theirs are satanists. Because the early christian religions(especially King James followers) had such a fear of witches, it has been taught that they were satanists and that was that. Yes, certain religions are kept ignorant of other's beliefs so they don't go running off to something better. Actually most christians don't even know that a person has to be a christian to be a satanist, since it was started as a way to protest the strict control the early church had over it's followers.

Since it gained power under Constantine, the institution(s) of Christianity (not necessarily all Christians) have been trying to control human thought; essentially a "political CHristianity" eveolved and took dominance.

As part of its control mechanism, it had to demonize all its rivals, starting with the other early Christian sects, like the Gnostics. Pagans, Zoarastrians, Muslims, Jews, Atheists, even scientists who were Christian (spiritual Christin as opposed to political Christian), women... many fell victom to these efforts.

Today, some still try to do this; even demonizing Star Wars or Harry Potter becuase it differs from what they want people to believe.

It's all about control; it's a perveersion of spirituality. I hope someday decent, spiritual Christians will speak out, and stop letting the political Christians speak for all Christians.

The most honest answer is that it's due to three things.
1)Simply not learning about it, ignorance.
2)Fear of the that which people are ignorant about.
3)Programed learning. It's like if you were electrocuted every time you popped a knuckle you'd eventually be thinking that popping a knuckle was bad and evil. Some people feel the same way about paganism. It's sad and wrong but it happens.

Christianity turned any religion that isn't Christianity into Satanism. Coming from a Christian upbringing, and still being a Christian, this is one tenet of the Faith with which I strongly disagree. I believe in God, but I also believe there are other "entities" also at work. I know where in the Bible it says "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" and all that, and perhaps it makes me a lesser Christian to question this aspect of my religion, then so be it.

Pagan religions have to be evil because it is a holisitc idea of man and god. Paganism did not seperate god from men, in fact believing that gods, and man were created from the same Primal Wasteland is what eliminated the gulf, between man and god.
But unfortunately because Marduk the creator of humanity was not a god to intervene in manly affairs he was deemed by what would eventually evolve into the Christian god(Yahweh) a god who was not concerned of his creation.
Moses who liberated his people(Israelites) from the Egyptians using the muderous and brutal Yahweh proofed that his god was concerned. It was then that Christianity(the belief of one god, and of course eventually Jesus was the only righteous way to praise a god that loved his fellow man enough to intervene, and that the rest of the gods were unworthy of mans love. So as we know in time having more than one god, or performing rituals, and festivals was a celebration of those many gods, and blasphemous to the one god(yahweh)
This is why you are seen as evil, because you still participate in ideas that was abolished thousands of years ago, because it placed god within the hands of man. Wow that's pretty evil.
I wouldnt worry about it if what you believe brings you closer to your god, then it is what is meant, and the rest are just simple minded fools who dont keep putting the meat in the grinder.
I wish you well.

In my opinion, it's because their bible/holy book/whatever tells them that their particular religion is the ONLY way. I guess they think if they even bother to educate themselves, they might go to hell or something. It's ridiculous.

People are afraid of what they do not understand, and some people love being ignorant.
