I was in an accident on yesterday. I made a left turn on a light, (not an arrow), and a car hit me on the side. I was sighted for the ticket (since oncoming traffic has the right of way), and I was just wondering if any one has an idea of what the ticket might cost or what I might have to look forward to(besides being sued of course, I already know that). If anyone has any input, please give me some info.

Every state has different laws so the numbers can differ. But since you sound fine, I am going to guess the one who hit you is also fine. A line is drawn between property damage and bodily injury. So if no one was hurt. It would just be a basic traffic violation, maybe $200. You can probably go to school to remove those 2 points. Your insurance premium will go up by a lot, maybe $300 every six months for the next couple of years. Your insurance if appropriately covered will take care of the costs for you. You probably won't need a lawyer or to go to court.

I was in an accident a few years ago and it was my fault. I hydroplaned through the stop sign, hit a car then the car i hit was hit by a semi. I was almost hit by the semi but i floored it and we got out of there. No one was badly hurt*thank the lord*. I was sighted. I was a minor when this happend tho. It was like $120-$160 or so. Lost my license too. But if you're older than 18 not sure how much that'll cost. Just a fine and points.

You are likely not going to be sued. If you have the proper insurance coverage, you insurance will end up paying for the damages to both cars.
Give the city and state for info on what the ticket will cost.

The courts fine whatever your states legislators allowed for! Every state has different regulations and fines. Here in nY you could expect to pay in upwards of $100 because the fine is probably $50 but we have that good old surcharge law that allows our wonderful state to hit you for double! Almost like playing "jeopardy" with the daily double!
