Yes. Your periods only stop if you have a hysterectomy (surgery to remove your uterus), go through menopause (the change), or you have a medical condition that is interfering with your natural cycle (excessive weight loss is an example). Having your tubes "tied" only prevents the egg from entering the uterus, thus preventing pregnancy. You should talk to a medical professional about how your body works so you can understand what happens to you during certain stages of your life.

You sure do!! They tie your tubes to prevent the egg from coming down the fallopian tube to be fertilized. Another option to tieing your tubes, in case you're worried you may want a child in the future, is an IUD. They have come a long way since the dangers with the Dacron Shield. They are very safe. And they are the most effective form of birth control. I have had one for the past 6 years and love it. But if you have multiple partners, they are not recommended. They are easy to remove by your doctor if you do chose to have another child, and they last for 10 years. You're insurance will cover it 100%. And if you don't have insurance, they are about $200 which is great compared to 10 years of the pill, condoms, or other forms of birth control.

yes u would because the period is related with your hormones and hormones directly dissolve in ur blood so tied tubes make no difference. the only thing tied tubes prevent is the ova (egg) reaching the uterus where it can get fertilized

You should, my friend had her tubes tied but she doesn't get a period every month...just whenever it wants to come. I had a hysterectomy so I have no periods at all, just my ovaries.

Yes you do. The ovaries will still do the same job as before, just the egg cannot get to the uterus. Everything still works the same. I had a tubal ligation 3 years ago and have had a period every month since.

Yes. You just can't get pregnant because an egg cannot be released from the falopian tube.

Once your tubes are tied you no longer go through menstral cycles but you do have periodic monthly pains (not sure if its related to period) My mother has her tubes tied and she used to occasionally would feel small light pains.(nothing painful)
