regardless of this story about this poor lady something needs to be doen about job centre and its staff. like being unemployed doesnt affect your esteem enough the staff in those places really grind u down. (apologies to anyone who works in JC and can genuinley say that they and the pple they work with truly support the unemployed and are empathic - but i have not come across any) I have come across so many stories like this one that it doesnt even surprise me.

Government has recently made the job centres useless places.
Most claim are now done over the phone and the job search machines are not so good either. Not customisable enough.
The same goes for other benefit offices. Applications are dealt with by inaccessible people in an untransparent way so that you can not figure out what is going on.

What a nice person you are to be so concerned about someone else, you deserve a medal, yes the government should look at the job centre plus services, how can they treat a fellow human being with such disdain, how is the poor woman supposed to feed and keep herself until they sort something out for her, it makes me so cross that in this day and age people are treat like that, this woman is entitled to benefits and should have been given them straight away and I hope the people that turned her down can sleep at night for doing what they did to her, I would sack the lot of them for treating someone so coldly and cruel.

thats a utter disgrace. i sympathise with you, no i am not pregnant but i know someone who was, and on the dole its nothing but stress, and they take the pee out of you. they bang on at people to look for jobs but they dont pay you enough money to, they dont seem to understand that what they pay you, you still have to pay your bills and food and other bits and pieces that you need for day to day life. and just because you are on benefits dont mean the companies you owe or you pay will say oh i wont bother with you. no one cares about no one all they care about is MONEY. the job center staff should be slapped on the wrists for the way they talk to you and treat you, not only that they have different info about you it seems on every computer or bloody adviser.they dont have any intelligence, they dont keep copies of anything thats why you have to repeat yourself. i pity anyone decent that goes on the dole. they are jokers. THE GOVERMENT IS A BIG JOKE. I MEAN COME ON LOOK AT THE SWINES THAT RUN IT
i agree some people do take the pee out of the tax payers. but some do not. some are thrown into situatuions that they cant control. not all people who work at the jc are idiots. i know a guy who i see sometimes in tescos hes retired now and he worked for the job center, even he agrees that some of the people in there are stupid and careless

Think the government should look at all the services that are being provided as they don't all meet the needs of the people they are suppose to be helping.
However even though the women you saw could of been genuine you do have to be careful with the stories people tell you, people will tell you anything if they think you are a soft touch.

it is humorous how maximum persons seem bitching and backstabbing the social protection equipment. All i will inform you is that except you have lived outdoors of the united kingdom, you quite won't be able to savour in basic terms how solid it is. no person can communicate approximately how issues are everywhere else except they have in my view experieneced an instantaneous assessment. while in comparison with many ecu structures, eg: Germany, the place you are able to wait for as much as 3 months for an consumer-friendly declare to be dealt with, and are not getting on the spot help with housing and so on. Britain and absolutely everyone living there, ought to easily be chuffed that we do have a protection internet. As for the workers in J C Plus places of work, they do a solid job and placed up with fairly some B.S. from contributors of the regularly occurring public and could in basic terms as quite finally end up and not using a job and on the dole as absolutely everyone else. a minimum of they, like fairly some human beings, artwork damned frustrating to make certain there is taxes paid to assist help non working human beings interior the united kingdom. And in basic terms for the record, I and particular fairly some human beings, have been given the awful information that as quickly as I retire in approximately 25 years, my state pension would be valueless! i ask your self the place my contributions went?!

We have the same type of problems here in the US. they're about as helpful as the newspaper for finding a job. Pretty hit and miss, no councellig or resume services, though they will direct you towards companies that do them, Like I have money to pay a company, HAH!

yes the goverment should take a look but how many of them care. if it was to happen to them then they would realize how it is. i understand , when my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer we couldnt get any help. and he has worked at his present job for 33years, and they told him they would find him a job and he had just gotten out of the hospital with surgery he told them he had a job he just need help until we could get back on our feet. they said sorry, so i know how she feels.he had to go back to work early.
