hey, u're a guy??
wateva.. shaving sure does make your hair more coarse n u'll have rough skin.hair removing creams are ok, but they cause allergies, so waxing is the best option, period!

Your hair is not actually growing back any thicker than it was before you shaved it. Where you cut the hair, however, becomes sharp; when allowed to grow out, hair over time becomes blunter and feels softer at the ends. What you are feeling are the rough ends of the stubble, which feel thicker to your fingers than hair that has grown out a little more.

Waxing will not affect the rate at which your hair grows, nor will cutting it. Waxing will, however, damage some of the hair follicles each time you wax, causing those hairs to not grow any more. So unless you want to wax your head forever, I would stay away from waxing. Stick to shaving to ensure that you don't kill too many hairs.

I read an article about this in a medical journal and they have proven that it will not grow back thicker. Also, they have proven that if you pull out a gray hair, it's replacement will grow back gray. The reason your hair seems like it's growing back thicker is because hair grows below the surface of your skin, thus the root and bottom portion of a strand of hair is generally thicker than the top. What's happening is that your hair is growing, shaving really has nothing to do with it.

When you shave it does not grow back thicker but stumpier. When a new hair grows from the skin it grows in like a needle. It is searated on one side and long on the other, like blade of grass, making it feel smooth. When it is cut it is like cutting the grass or cutting a tree. It now appears stumpy, even though you are cutting it at the skin, as it grows it still grows like a stump.
With waxing, you are pulling the hair from its ground. Meaning you are pulling the root and its shaft from the pore. When it grows back it has to regrow that root all over again, taking up to six weeks to produce a new follicle. So it grows as a blade of grass. With waxing or any epilator, the more you "damage" the pore that grows the hair, as it collapses as you "pull" the hair out from its ground, the less the hair grows because of the collapsed pore.
Hope this explains!!!

No, shaving doesn't produce hairs or cause your hair to be thicker. The individual hairs may feel thicker because of the way the razor cuts them. Waxing can reduce the amount of growth you have, because like plucking (if you notice when women pluck their eyebrows) it can destroy the hair follicle and cause hair not to grow back. Waxing definitely takes longer to grow back.

Yeah it does grow back longer and thicker the more you shave. I know this for a fact as it happens to me. So its a lot better to wax (its not THAT painful if the hairs are thin anyway), because (if you have been shaving your legs or wherever) it'll hurt way more if you wax when the hairs are thicker, more to pull out!

if you shave it´llgrow back thicker, but if you use wax that won´t happen since you´re pulling the hair out, if you shave it´s like cutting it.

Waxing it, sounds a bit hurtful, if you want your hair thicker why don't you use a special kind of shampoo.

My experience:
Hair grows back thicker and darker only in areas where you don't want it. God forbid you accidentally pluck an eyebrow hair that shouldn't have been plucked; THAT hair will never grow back. Go figure!! ;o)
