Any time I hit off centered bumps in the road, and it only happens under 50 MPH. I was thinking a new adjustable track bar to center up the axle, or softer shocks?? The jeep is lifted and has 31" tires.

replace the steering damper shock [mtd sideways] this is the culprit 99% of the time [over the years i have had 3 that the brand new replacements were defective] i have had the best luck with genuine jeep dampers.
the other 1% have had worn out track-bar, pay attention to left side track- bar mount with the taper being worn elliptical the only repair allowed here is replacement of said track bar and new mount.
one last note the tie rod joint at pittman arm seems to get a lot of wear on both xj's and zj's especially when lifted , if you don't have a dropped pittman arm with your lift kit you probably should get one that corresponds with your 3 inch lift.

ok, check to make sure EVERYthing is tight - steering arms etc. Then get a wheel bal and allignment. not sure it grands need a sye for three inches, but tjs certainly do. the shocks have nothing to do with it. its the front end that death wobbles. if you stamp on the brakes does it stop till the next bump? it should. check to make sure your front end is all tightened. anything you looseded at the install.
Lol scary huh? I heard of one guy who had a dent in his bonnet, got death wobbles so bad that it popped the dent out.
oh, and for gods sake, be careful till its fixed.
have a look at my source address and search under death wobbles

the front suspension was not designed for the big tires, try a steering damper, this is a shock absorber that stops unwanted harmonic left/right wobble. they are fairly cheap to install, some are welded and some are bolt-on, your preference. hope this helps

not enough info to answer.....DEATH WOBBLE???? do you mean rapid left to right shimmy in steering wheel if so then consider one of two options....A)replace steering gear box. B) center link replacement, at least have it checked out for wear because if it breaks, you lose steering and it could be fatal for you or your passengers or even the unsuspecting motorist riding his HARLEY next to you. GET IT FIXED!!!A>S>A>P>
