No they're not fattening as a simple country prawn as they are just about completely protein and water.

All foods are fattening if you eat enough but prawns are a good source of protein and are virtually fat free so are quite useful on any diet as long as not smothered in sauce.

only if smothered in marie rose sauce. try heating a tsp of oil in a pan add sliced red chilli and garlic titt starting to soften and add king prawns....mmmmm serve with french bread an green salad. enjoy!!

No, but they are a rich source of cholesterol. So if you have a high cholesterol take them in moderation. They are the only sea food which contains it!
