If you don't know what SERE school is, please don't answer. If you do answer, let me know which SERE you went to (AF, USN, Army) and when. Thanks.

actually, SERE school Resistance training methods are classified. I'm stationed at the base where they do AF SERE school by the way. I can simply say this, it's intense. I haven't heard of any specific lasting personal injuries, but that doesn't mean it's never happened. At the same time, the people who teach SERE Resistance training are well trained themselves and know the limits of what they can and can't do.

USN.

The absolute, worst thing that can happen to you is that you do not pass in the first go and have to repeat the course. I know people who have done amazing feats to avoid this very fate and I know others who have done SERE twice. I do not know anyone who has done SERE more than twice. I know a few who chose other occupations after two non-pass.

When I was a Marine, I was going into intel/counter intel. After receiving notice of having to attend SERE school I declined. Many rumors were that careers were ended because of injuries, broken bones, just the worst that you could imagine. It is treated as a real POW camp. You have to sign all kinds of waivers before you attend.

A good friend went through back in 1990. He said they beat him so hard he thought he was going to rupture a blood vessel in his brain. He said nothing about it was fake.
