Ask them to stop. If they don't listen, tell them you'll file an actual accident report and all those dents on your door will go on their insurance bill.

If you can video tape the act, you then have something to work with, otherwise, park a little further away or buy a door shield/bumper. A previous neighbor at an apartment complex tied a rope to the posts of the undercover parking stalls so as to limit the travel of other cars doors.

Get an estimate of damage to your car and either give it to the person annoying you or mail it. A picture of them doing it would help. Have you spoken to the person doing it?? Maybe a little chat would solve the problem??

I'm not a hundred percent sure, but that can be construed as a hit and run, which is a criminal offense. Ask your local police station on that one.
Another way of looking at it is damage of property, which is definitely a criminal offense. But it all depends on which avenue you want to take: legal or insurance.

What jerks! Are they doing this on purpose? If they are, I for sure would be taking some legal action. If not, I would definitely speak to them and make them aware, and make sure it doesn't happen again. They want to play the game, they can also pay the consequences! Good luck!

Hang a bumper like they use at a boat yard that protects the boat from hitting the dock, they may get the message that way...

Attach one of the decorative stand out rubber strips to the ridge of your door. Other vehicles doors will hit the ridge strip instead of your door & paint.

Talk to him politely. If he or she does it deliberately then you don't have to be polite.Just tell him or her to be careful next time they open their car door so they avoid hitting your car.If their action continues, just get mad lol.

Why do you think he is doing that???
I would confront him and ask him. If not then tell him you will call the police next time you see him doing that.
