I think it is unlucky to see a black cat on friday the 13 and I think it is generally unlucky to have a black cat cross ur path. Or at least im pretty sure thats how it goes...not that its true or ne thing...i own a black cat and I don't think it has effected my luck ever.

God knows!! When I went to get a cat from a local shelter, they said that pure black ones were always the last to be picked, if at all!! I have a jet black kitten and he has given me nothing but joy. I wish I'd done it years ago. Anyone who thinks black cats are unlucky or are a witches "familiar" are stupid. My grandad was a Wiccan High Priest and even he said it was a ridiculous piece of folklore. People - Please don't reject a black cat because you think it's unlucky! That's like rejecting a person because of the pigment in their skin. I'm caucasian and know how DUMB that is!

Unlucky to some, however, in some other cultures black cats are considered lucky.

It is meant to be on the friday the 13th. Unfortunately, I have 2 balck cats and they are never unlucky to me.

the saying of a black cat is bad luck is a old wife's tail.
plus they say a black cat belongs to a witch,
i was given the nic name of the wicked witch by my sister in-law for not letting her son get away with blue murder lol (I've never had a black cat up to now )
just might have to get another, as my cat black & white cat has gone missing, been missing now for 11 days :(

i dont believe that a black cat is unlucky. so to me never. but people are suspicious nowadays! so i would have a say at halloween!

I see at least two every day.
I would think it was unlucky if I didn't see them...It would break my heart because that would mean something bad had happened.

If a black cat crosses your path this is good luck.
If a black cat gets infront of you and then turns back and goes the way it came its a bad omen. Hope this helps.
