christians have been predicting the return of jesus "any day now" for nearly 2000 years. At the time Paul was writing to his epistles, he believed (and it shows in his writings) that there wasn't much time, that there were people alive then who would be around when jesus came back. Wrong.
Middle-age priests taught that there were only a few years until jesus came back. The crusades were such a critical issue to european christians because they felt taking back Jerusalem from the Moors was a sign his return was imminent. Every time a century turns over (which is funny, since the calendar we use now is completely different from that used in jesus' time), a bunch of christians claim it marks the start of jesus' return and the millenium of his rule on earth. The turn of the millenium in 2001 (which most ignorant people thought was in 2000) showed another burst of apocalyptic predictions. And here we still are...

The failed predictions were getting old 1500 years ago. Today they're patently ridiculous. I've got news for you: jesus isn't coming back. Ever. And there's no proof that I'm wrong. So relax -- worry about making the most of this one life you have rather than spend all your time worrying about being saved and going to heaven. You'll be a lot happier. :)

particular - Jesus became God, and guy - completely the two. it is needed doctrine for all Christians, BTW, and has been formally by way of fact the Council of Nicea, besides the undeniable fact that it became in many circumstances time-honored long formerly that - first by St. Thomas ("Doubting Thomas") in Jesus presence! the main element to bear in recommendations is that Jesus became no longer a guy-like god, nor a god-like guy, yet completely God, and entirely human. As someone, he had precisely the comparable powers and obstacles that all of us do. E.g., we can all do the comparable miracles as he did, and greater (he tells us numerous circumstances); all we want is faith. So, as someone, he might clearly no longer comprehend while the top is to return. He became no longer a fortune teller, and his understanding to confirm the destiny may be the comparable as ours - by way of fact, he became human. So, particular, Jesus and God are one "of the comparable essence" by way of fact the Creed places it. yet, Jesus' humanity meant the comparable human obstacles that any people have. it quite is likewise why he could desire to be killed. (BTW - i'm no longer Roman Catholic, yet did learn at an RC seminary.)

AMEN
when He comes-I will praise Him, praise Him, praise Him and maybe sing my favorite hymn which is:

His Name Is Wonderful, His Name Is Wonderful,
His Name Is Wonderful, Jesus My Lord;
He Is The Mighty King, Master Of Everything.
His Name Is Wonderful, Je-sus My Lord.

He’s The Great Shepherd,
The Rock Of All Ages,
Almighty God Is He;
Bow Down Before Him, Love And Adore Him.
His Name Is Wonderful, Je-sus, My Lord.

Rise up to meet him in the air

and so shall we be forever with him

Jesus said I go away to prepare a place for you

that where I am there you will be also

If it were not so I would have told you

In my Father's house are many mansions

I go away to prepare a place for you

Nope... no man knows, not even Jesus. So when God wakes him up and says "Son, it's time" do you think Jesus will say "Just 5 more minutes, pop"

Better question is what can you do right now? God knows your heart and if you are truly a good person and try to be a good person,.....you have not thing to worry about. What happens, happens. No one can control what God chooses to do.

I really pity those who live under the fear of going to hell.

I am so glad my faith does not teach this. G-d loves all his children-all the good of the earth.

G-d is One.
