Television is the fastest way of delivering information to the mass. Remember, MONEY is what makes the world go 'round. So to make money, you have to sell the product. To sell the product you have to advertise it. To advertise it, there is no better way than doing that on TV. So, to keep you tuned in to the commercials, they have to ocassionally keep you entertained. Or how about HighDefinition? You love the picture. It makes you want to watch TV more. You like the shows on TV. You're spending time watching TV shows rather than spending it playing sports, visiting family members, taking a nap, reading a book or a newspaper, walking, etc. Our culture is affected by the amount of time the majority of population spends on a most common activity - TV.

It controls our culture because its a cheap, and quick fix. How easy is it to come home from work and turn it on? Most people come home and there brains are mush. They turn the TV on and just suck in the madness.

Many people, if you ask them, believe a lot of the things on T.V. are acceptable and they see nothing wrong with them in society. For example, cussing preschoolers are cute?

tv is our window to the world and when people we idolize or admire are on it, they influence our culture. we are a product of what we see, celebrities set the pace as to what is in and out, cool and lame, unfortunatly we have been brain washed...individuality is not as prevelant as it was in the past...
