I accept that global warming is a very real phenomenon. I have studied environmental toxicology (including atmospheric science) for some time and all evidence would suggest that the planet is indeed warming. There has not been one single study of global temperature changes that has proved global warming does not exist - the debate is to what is actually causing it, not whether or not it is real.

So, it comes down to asking yourself one very important question: To what end would some entity (person, group, company, party, etc...) want someone (the average person) to accept or not accept global warming as a threat?

I think generally you'll find that science, as a whole, has no agenda other than the pursuit of facts and therefore has no reason to present fallacies; where as entities with invested interests in markets, control or reasons other than the pursuit of truth might wish different. So, do your own research, become knowledgeable in the facts and make an educated decision of your own.

Absolute HOGWASH.

The Earth is over 4 BILLION years old. Every single DAY of its existence it has sustained the abuse of gamma-rays, x-rays and other types of radiation we don't even know of yet.

It's been hit by comets and asteroids THOUSANDS of times.

The continents have shifted around on its surface, collided against each other and ripped themselves into pieces. MILLIONS of volcanoes have raged on its surface over the millenia spewing more toxins into the air than we can even IMAGINE!

Yet the Earth lives on.

This is NOT some fragile little world that any day now is about to come to an end. The Earth is TOUGH. REAL TOUGH in fact. So tough you and I can't even imagine. If you HONESTLY believe a little CO2 is going to kill the entire planet, you have the IQ of bumble-bee.

what I find interesting about these sorts of questions is the votes...it seems that people are biased towards answers

thumbs up if you agree, thumbs down if you don't...regardless of facts

no douibt I'll get a thumbs down for expressing my opinions on this LOL, not that I really care but anyway,

what I usually say to people in this situ' is study the science yourself and then and only then can you come to an "informed" opinion...rather than blindly taking on the opinions of others

It is a "Fact", not a myth. And every country has to work together to fight this issue.
