Image:
1) a representation of a person or thing,
2) a visual impression of something
3) a copy likeness
4) a mental picture or idea
Are images to be worshiped?
the bible is very clear NO.
Is Jesus God or an image of God?
2 Cor 4: 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
If you don't belief Jesus is the image of God, are you following Jesus or are you following Satan lies?

When we thank Jesus - we ARE thanking God. God and Jesus are the same Spirit of God and also the Holy Spirt - all three Godhead - all three God. We are not putting Jesus above God, just putting Jesus up there along with God.
Think of it like this - ice, water, steam - all same but different purposes. So it is with the Trinity. When we thank Jesus - God is also being thanked and vice versa. Blessings to you.

How is it that you don't know or can't understand that Jesus is God. Not just because I say so but because He says so..
John 8:58
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

No, because GOD emphasizes the importance of his son, in acknowledging JESUS you are acknowledging GOD, GOD knows what you mean. Sometimes you can use their names interchangeably. I don't think that she will be severely punished, I talk to both or use names at different times. I LOVE THEM EQUALLY!!!!

Remember also what is written of Jesus...
15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (Col 1)
