Antibiotics require a prescription because not taken properly, the organism will mutate into a form that is immune to the medicine. It is called an anti-biotic resistant organism and is becoming a major challenge for health providers as some people have tried to self medicate and then the drugs are no longer effective.
For cuts and such, I use hydrogen peroxide as a rinse to prevent infection, but take nothing orally.

I'm pretty sure that antibiotics are only available with a prescription, with the exception of topical antibiotics like neosporin.

You can take acidophilius (sp?) pills. This is also an active culture in some yogurts. If you can stomach plain yogurt, that is really the best, but if not, I often eat Stonyfield Farms Banilla or French vanilla yogurt in large amounts to rid myself of vaginal irritation that I suspect is yeast.

Antibotics can only be prescribed by a doctor. The best thing for infections in Neosporin.

Nope, no antibiotics in anything that is sold OTC. If you need antibiotics go see your doctor.

If you're talking about cold and flu meds,no. Otc meds only have one thing, or a combination of things, to help relieve symptoms of your illness, not get rid of it. For cold and flu symptoms my favorite is good old Nyquil.

not oral, only topical. People would take them incorrectly and we'd end up with more antibiotic resistant bacteria. :(
