I am ambivalent as to the existence of a god. I can imagine there would be some forms of deity that I'd like to have around, but I'm equally okay with a non-deistic reality.

I don't really 'want' it to be one way or the other. But I could imagine some cool gods.

First, there'd be no faith about it. IT would show itself clearly and demonstratably.

Second, it would be like a library -- any question we had, we could ask. It might not give us the exact answer; this would remove any reason to live. But it'd point us in the right direction.

Third, it would allow us to try out any and all realities -- it would share its divinity, but enforce fairness; I could not create a reality to harm another person's right to their reality.

Fourth, however we viewed our true selves, that is how we would be. Our symbols would shape our lives, and our lives would shape our symbols. The wolf is the highest symbol in my life; I view my true self in lupine terms, so my live would reflect that physically, mentally, and spiritually (in short: I'd be a werewolf. ;) )

That kinda god I could life with -- it would be about sharing omnipotential with all creation, so that every person's personal truth could be explored to the full.

I think it would be great if there were a god, so long as he was benign and wise. It would make life so much easier to believe that there was a purpose to the universe and that we had something to look forward to after death other than simple non-existance. Life would be so much easier, less effortful, less confusing, less demanding if only we actually knew what we were here for and what was expected of us. In a small way, I envy the faithful. How wonderfully soothing it must be to think you have all the answers.
Oh well....

The universe is a pretty complicated place. Poof, something all knowing created itself and then decided to create everything else and continue to have a relationship with the little specs and bits that exist throughout universal eternity? I simply can't digest the concept of a supreme intelligent creator (i.e. god).

That there is something universal about life that transcends the physical, that I can believe... but that doesn't require a god.

No, I don't. My personal belief is that there may be or have been a universal mind...i.e., the entire universe is like a working brain and within that brain is a mind. But a personal god that behaves like a human being with emotions and desires and needs and cares about whether you get a hit or not in a ballgame or cares whether that guy you like will ask you out...no...just no.

sure!

lets be honest here. if there was a place i could go after death to hang out (for all of eternity) that would be great. but in the end pointless. id rather be experiencing new feelings, emotions and other things rather than toying around for eternity.

id rather be reincarnated and have to live life all over again.

OR if heaven was a star trek holodeck....then hell yeah!

the reality is is that there is no god, there never was and most likely never will be. id prefer one of the 2 possibilities above.

I'm pretty happy about no god.

If there were a god, I would only loathe him for creating such a cruel place. That is, assuming he has the power to manipulate the world. If he doesn't then I can't call him a god.

So, when I get sick or my car spontaneously craps out, I don't really have anyone to blame (unless I didn't change my oil). It is just how life is, and I can't change that.

I wish there is, if he is the one epicted in the bible, then so be it. All I want is to see a god, just like I wished to have seen Santa Claus when I was a young boy.

Different fairy tales for different ages.

Hmm. Perhaps a God that just supervises maybe...keeps us safe. Kinda like a big brother or sister. But not a kind of God that gives free will but tells us how to live, like in the bible.

Yes, I do find some comfort in the possibility of an unconditionally loving god and as you may have guessed, I'm agnostic.
