Hi. I am currently writing my dissertation on the subject of why people who suffer from mental illness (in particular Bi-Polar Disorder) have an abnormally high capacity for creativity and creative thought. In essence, i'm attempting to discover why this is so. However, I am still at a loss in regards to a title for the dissertation. I'm wanting a title that may include a play on words, something a little.....well creative! Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou

Bipolar disorder by it's very nature causes manias so extreme that many people throughout history have given us beautiful art, books, poetry, music, acting etc. but the eventual price of the grandiose feelings that lead to all that creativity was the havoc created in their personal lives by the mania itself and the swan dive into depression afterwards. I would call my dissertation: Mania: Climbing the Cliff to Conquer the World. Falling from the Mountain to the Depths of Despair.

The biological explanation of Bi-polar is a change in the body´s neurotrasmiters. On the other hand, the "spiritual explanation" is that the person has attached a spirit to its aura. When the person rules, the personality is the one of the person. When the spirit rules, the personality is the one of the spirit. Maybe the spirit knows more that us from earth and therefore that why Bipolar people are very creative. What do you think?

The voice beyond reason would make a good title. Concidering that I have bipolar disorder and usually you have your normal inner voice and also another inner voice that you can't understand. Sometimes it keeps repeating and repeating and also it makes you do things you otherwise wouldn't do. I love to write poetry and journals. I am currently working on my book of poetry that I mostly wrote while manic.
