Intelligent Design is used by those who are not prepared to stand by Christian beliefs or the Christian God. They use a generic term--they believe someone or something created the earth etc, but don't tie it to a specific deity.

Christianity is as religion.... Intelligent Design is a theory about how the universe and we come into being.... Intelligent design states that we did evolve from lower life forms be in accordance with a master design (weather by God, A different spirit, or a high student from another plane of existance). We are here because it was designed that we were to be here. Unlike Darwin's theory which states the random mutations in the lower life forms and survival of the fittest chanced us into being.

Intelligent design is just a name for a creation that happened as science described, but on purpose (with God or another higher being making it happen that way).
Christianity is a a belief that Jesus is your savior and redeemer.
It's entirely possible for people to believe both, or just one.

I have never heard of intellegint design but christians believe that Jesus was sent by God the Father to die for our sins and rose again in the third day. We need to believe this and accept God as our Lord and Savior to enter heaven. Plus repent and mean it! The only way into heaven is through Jesus Christ

They are about the same, but ID doesn't say who the designer is. Christianity says God is the Designer.

so-called "Intelligent Design" is a way to try to dress up old-fashioned creationism to present a fundamentalist, literalist alternative to scientific theories of evolution.
Christianity is a much broader term, encompassing a wide range of traditions and interpretations.

Ha. This is the dumbest way in the book to say it...
You can believe in ID but not in Christianity, but you can't believe in Christianity and not in ID
