I have a couple of friends that are having hair loss problems, like one, her hair will not grow back on the sides, and the other lost the hair in the middle of her head after going to her stylist and having the weave and hair glue removed, now her scalp is really red and irritated. Anyone have any advice or should they both see a dermatolgist?

Yes girl it can, I don't have that problem because my hair is just naturally long but yes....... Its not good to have weave in all the time. It literally messes up your hair. Tell them to always get deep conditioners when going to the beauty shop, and try getting a hair style that will allow your hair to grow. Like flat irons, or pony tails. Never keep your hair dry because that will do more damage. If none works, then see a dermatologist.

If you are beautiful on the inside absolutely nothing can stop you from looking beautiful on the outside. Don't let your hair lost stop you from living your life to its fullest. Look at Dolly Pardon, she has closets of wigs and she is not bald. Your hair stylist is not the solution to growing your hair. She is part of the problem. Just imagine if everyone started growing long hair in a few weeks or months and go natural; the stylist would go out of business. They know how to cover up what they messed up. I lost my hair to stress, not knowing at the time it would grow back, so I went to a stylist and she did the weave for five years. Four months ago, I removed the weave and took my hair in my own hands.I wash my hair twice a week, heat cap condition once or twice a week, message my scalp while sitting reading at the computer everyday and MOST importantly, I EAT right. If you are not eating healthy your hair will not be healthy no matter what you do. My hair has grown six inches. BTW, I am not a beautician, I am 74 years old with wisdom and common sense. You may not have my wisdom, but you have common sense. Book sense without common sense is like having no sense. Good luck. You are beautiful, God did not make NO ugly children.

Tell them to buy tea tree oil ,they have it at wal-mart,rub that on the scalp for a few days to help heal the damaged skin. It is a normal reaction, well not normal but when using glue to put in a weave would you think that would be good for youe head. You gotta get clip ins,ir sew ins.Glue extensions damage your hair, why would you put glue in your hair and not think it would break your hair. If ot doesn't get better in a week them they should go to the doctor, but they should be fine.Hopefully they learned their lesson with the glue mess.

Yes, hair glue is the problem. The problem is actually more deeply rooted than the glue itself. What I mean is if your friends would wear there hair in its beautiful natural state in which it was given and love themselves for who they are and what the most high gave them, and stop trying to look in the image and likeness of someone else other than themselves they would not have this problem.
