When I refer to first religion, I was meaning in reference to the Christian religion that came after the pagans, in which Moses and Abraham were followers of. When I say the word conception, I mean to imply anyone's conception of the divinity of god. So to deny the divinty of anyones god was to be said atheism. John Wingfield claimed in his tract Atheism closed and open Anatomized (1964) said that the hypocrite was an "atheist". he who will not be taught or reformed, which can be applied to every religious order that would not respect other religions.
Yes I am aware that in todays society that atheism is the belief of no god, and in this way of thinking the mind is not clouded, and can do greet deeds for man rather than something that is not tangible. All that I am suggesting is that Christians are angered by the question mark that atheist pose to their beliefs in god. And although they may not realize it they do the same by believing in their faith, because it was a seperate belief

then what their pagan brothers believed. So it would seem that man himself destroys one religion to create another when it ceases to work for them.
I am not angry, I just dont understand that if every man would learn that by your beliefs you are persecuted, then wouldnt the persecution end. We fight over the same damn things. And people die everyday for someone's new twisted version of what god is. It is the same, all of it.
This is all I am suggesting. If you feel angered by it I understand. IF you feel that I am stupid, you have that right. If you want to explain then please I ask you too.
I wish you well.

Please refer to my fist question asking christians do you know you are an atheist?

2006-10-27 08:35:27 · update #3

Yes I am explaining. Because based on the way the majority of you answered my question, I felt I had not explained myself well enough. It was difficult to know where I was going, because I did not choose an exclusive viewpoint of any religion. I was suggesting that all of it is the same. And it would seem this angered the christians, because I put them in the same category as athesits, and doing so this angered the atheists. So you would say I pushed some buttons. I respect everyones beliefs, and know that through all beliefs as a whole is where we all need to be.

Do you understand that Moses and Abraham were not Christian? Abraham was the first of the Jews. Everyone else in the old testament was Jewish or pagan. Jesus and his apostles were Jewish as were the early Christians. It was only after they were thrown out of the synagogues that the early Christians (after Jesus' time) split completely from Judaism.

Didn't see the earlier question but it bugs me when people assume that everyone in the Bible is Christian.

If you are going to use terminology differently than how they are used today, you may get better results if you explain that up-front. You seem to be explaining - not really questioning - this time out.

PS
Note to Larry: Christianity IS a religion. Before corrupted into referring to organization, religion was about connecting, akin to what you describe, and akin to my path ans an animist. So yes, Christianity is a religion - especially by your description.

Let me set you straight on one point, you say that "atheism is the belief of no god" you are incorrect.
Atheism is the knowledge that there is no god, not a belief.
You see, I know for a fact that there is no god, christians must believe in thier imaginary sky-pixie because they have no proof.
See the difference?

I know that every one thinks that their way is the right way i know Love is the only way if everyone loved everyone there would be no more killing and no more wars and what good is hate it has no good in it. So why do people choose to hate no one is perfect that's why, and i guess we will all see in the end and everything has a end and a beginning.

I'm unsure whether this is a statement or a question. Maybe this will help.
Christianity is Not a Religion
Please do not classify Christianity as just another religion? Please do not group Christianity with religions? Please do not confuse Christianity as being just another religion.
Christianity is not a religion per ce. Christianity is a relationship with the one and only true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Christians belong to the family of God. Christians are spiritual brothers and sisters to Jesus Christ and spiritual brothers and sisters to one another. They are the family of God. They have a relationship that is like no other on earth. They are all one in Jesus Christ. No so-called religion can claim that.
Christ conveys spiritual life to Christians. No religion can do that.
Christianity was created by God, Jesus Christ, to save mankind from their sins to take them to heaven to be with Him forever.
All religions of the world were created by Satan to keep men in their sins so he can take them to hell to be with him forever.
Christ came to take away sin and give life. Satan came to add sin and death to take away life.
From the beginning of sin, first started by Satan, Satan wanted to be as God. The best he can now do is disguise himself as as many gods as he can to capture the souls of the masses to keep them in their sins and take them to hell when they die physically. Now the best Satan can do is counterfeit gods, religions and faith in them. They appear to be the genuine articles but they are fake. They are phony. They are bogus.
Christians are followers of Jesus Christ as the only one who can forgive, remove and cleanse them from all their sins by the blood He shed for them at Calvary.
Religious people are followers of some false god created by Satan.
Christianity is not a religion. It does not follow a false God.
Christianity is God, Jesus Christ, saving men from their sins.
Religions are men trying to be good enough on their own to save themselves and get to heaven by their own efforts and good works.
People think: "If I just follow my religion, I will get to heaven or a better after-life." Wrong! If you could, and you did follow all the dictates/dogmas of all the religions of the world you would never get to heaven.
Being religious is not the basis of going to heaven or to a better after-life. What religious people don't know is, because of their sins, they can never be good enough to get to heaven on their own efforts and good works. They do not know, understand or accept the fact that, in order to go to heaven, they must have their sins forgiven, removed and cleansed by the blood Jesus Christ shed for them at Calvary. That is the only basis of going to heaven.
Christianity is the truth of God revealed to mankind in God's word, The Holy Bible, the only book that is spiritually alive and can make believers spiritually alive to God. Christianity's holy book, The Holy Bible, is the only truly holy book written by the true and living God. God who used some 40 authors to record what He wanted in The Holy Bible, but He is the actual author. God wrote The Holy Bible.
Religion's so-called holy books are not holy but are books written by men inspired by Satan, not God. Unless you want to say Satan is the real author who wrote all those so-called books to confound the minds of the masses to keep them from coming to Jesus Christ, their one and only Savior from sin.
Religions are lies created by Satan, revealed to them through their so-called holy books. Their so-called holy books are spiritually dead books. They cannot convey spiritual life to anyone.
Christianity has a living leader, the one and only true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ, who after three days, arose from the grave and is now alive at the right hand of the throne of God the Father in heaven. He is there now making intercession to the Father for His children. No religion can claim that.
Religions have leaders who are now dead and in their graves. None are still alive.
Christians have saving faith to believe the truth and go to heaven.
Religious people have fatal faith to believe lies and go to hell.
Christ saves mankind from their sins and helps keep them from becoming worse sinners.
Religion can do nothing about man's sin but, as far as God is concerned, make them more sinful.
Religions breed pride, hatred and extreme ideology. Some religious zealots are actually demon possessed who hate, rape and murder under the guise of their religion.
Christ brings humility, love and a balanced ideology.
Once again, Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is a personal, life changing relationship with the one and only true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Is that true of You? Do you have a personal, life changing relationship with the one and only true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ?
Salvation from sin is a free gift. You cannot work for it. You cannot be good enough to earn it. You must, by faith, receive it as a free gift. (“8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.”) Ephesians 2:8-9. You must confess you are a sinner in need of Jesus Christ to forgive, cleanse and remove all you sins from you. ( "23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;") Romans 3:23 You must become a child/son/daughter of God by asking Jesus Christ to come into your life for Him to live there forever. ("12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:") John 1:12. If you never have, do this today. This is my prayer for you.
