Is it fear of the dentist? Is it financial problems? I know they probably had poor dental care as a child, but as an adult, there are options. I just want everyone to have healthy teeth.

My friends and I used to hang out at this little "hole in the wall" bar and it seemed like everybody that wandered in there besides the usual crowd was missing several of their front teeth! We never could figure it out! That's one thing that I will never understand, how someone can walk around and smile and talk and have no teeth in the front. I would never leave the house. And......if you lose your own, you can buy more!!! I guess for those folks that don't have them they probably have reasons such as the ones you mentioned, but I too wish everyone could have healthy teeth.

A LOT of people are missing teeth here in the south. It's really sad and it is because of money. What's REALLY sad (for me) is that I'm from the north and a guy MUST have decent teeth if he wants to date me. Leaves my options kind of small. I think I probably won't be getting married.

I had a girlfriend who had all her teeth pulled and she never once wore her dentures. She said she just could not get used to wearing false teeth. She had a great idea of who she is and she always said, to know her is to love her. She is only 46 yrs. old.

My mother-in-law is pleased with no teeth. She had a medical condition and had to have her teeth removed, she has great medical insurance. She does have dentures, but refuses to wear them, because according to her they look like horse teeth. I know I can't live without my teeth.

a good friend of mine hasnt had teeth since she was 30, now she is 50, and still hasnt done anything about it. she has her dentures, but never wears them. i guess they are just not worth it.

The only one I ever knew was my brother-in-law's ex-wife...Hers all fell out when she was doing meth. She didn't care that they weren't there, and didn't ever even try to go to the dentist, 'cause she had other places to spend her money.
It was pretty nasty, really.
