I'm only addressing your question, not the sidebar...6 months is too young to spank because they don't have a concept of right and wrong. You can lightly smack the back of their hand if reaching for something bad, like the stove or scissors, but even better is to keep them from the opportunity in the first place. Spanking is supposed to be a negative consequence when a child chooses to do something wrong (break a rule). A 6 month old is not capable of that.

we've not in any respect spanked our young children. became this a one time adventure or does he have outburst like this on a daily foundation? became there any way in any respect that you'll have stayed abode with him and enable your hubby {if he's contained in the photo} take your father and mom to the airport or left the youngster abode with a babysitter? If that became an option, you should have taken it. enable me wager you've been drained also. You help you thoughts take administration of your moves. I have not in any respect stumbled on that yelling facilitates a difficulty. It in basic terms makes it worse. Yelling at him and spanking him contained in the motorized vehicle correct till now college begins became a nasty theory. it really is going to were dealt with at abode notwithstanding if he became overdue for college. you want to seem at others techniques of disciplining him that doesn't in contact yelling and spanking. in basic terms by technique of inquiring for our ideas shows me you're an quite loving and worrying figure. sounds like this became a one time component. even as your son comes abode, exhibit regret for hitting him and for yelling. clarify why you behaved that way and tell him the position he went incorrect at the same time with his habit. Six isn't to youthful to coach him that he's and could be held to blame for his moves. speaking sternly and following by on punishments can help you.

Dude-as soon as you can, move out. That sounds like a very unhealthy household.
PS, no, a 6 month old should cause no reason to be spanked.

No a child 6 months should not be spanked. It sounds as if you are very mature, but the others seems to be dysfunctional.

Yes, it is DEFINATELY TOO YOUNG...THE POOR CHILD DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHY HE IS BEING SPANKED???BY THE WAY,,,,,it is abuse...for your own peace of mind...you may try to just DISTANCE YOURSELF FROM HIM....6 MONTHS OLDthat is abuse if i ever heard of anything..." try not to think about it,,,and just let them go...IF YOU CAN...otherwise you will have to ALLOW him to do it all over again to you...i feel sorry for you....
