I started running once a week and I was fine for the first week. But on my third time I threw-up. Is that normal? and if it is why does that happen?

Not normal but not uncommon.

Given that I do not know your fitness level, how long or how fast your are running and Presuming that you do not have any underlying health issues which are causing this, possible causes could be

1. training to hard for your fitness level (it is your body's way of saying "slow down, silly") If you start to feel nauseaous, slow down, walk , let your heartrate slow down a bit and continue when and if you are feeling better

2. eating too heavy too soon prior to running

3. Drinking too much prior to running - For me personally, I drink constantly before during and after but for some, this causes nausea and cramping ...

4. not warming up prior to running to get your body ready for the work that is ahead (walk briskly for 3 - 5 minutes prior to running)

Its no a normal thing to be throwing up when running, yes it happens but i only seen throwing up when it was in those marathons that i joined, i would be assuming that you are new to this running regime of yours. what possibly could have happen is that

1) You could have eaten before you run

2) You feel nauseated after prolong exercising and you were over your normal exercsicing heartrate threshold.

3) Since you mention that its your third week running, i would think that you were already down with a sickness and you went out running, your body could already be weak and you pushed yourself forcing your body to collapse (depicte the throwing up)

4) Ensure when you are running, do not go all out and be a sprinter or any sort, take it slowly for about 5 min of slow jog and you gradually warm up your body for the harder runs that is coming up, remember to always cool down.

Hope this help you in everyway. Cheers

No it's not normal, but only running once a week is not of much fitness value, you need to do it 3-4 times a week and if it continues you need to see a Dr.

Oh, you might be pushing yourslef too hard. One time in second grade, I pushed myself WAY to hard when I was running, and when a friend asked me to go jumprope with her, instead of saying yes, I threw up. If you don`t feel extra sick after running, but rather refreshed or just running pains on your chest, then you should probably go see a doctor.

I have never actually thrown up while running, but have sometimes felt like it. When I ran my first 5Ks I felt very sick towards the end. You are probably just pushing yourself too hard too fast. Take some time to build up your speed and endurance. Trust me your body will thank you.

i'm not sure if it's normal or not, but i've never seen anyone get sick when they run. your body is probaly not use to the running and responding in that way. i would start off with powerwalking then gradually if you don't get sick start running again. but if all else fails, i would talk to my docotor if i were you.
good luck.
