space because we spent everyday single day together and I would get mad if he wanted to go somewhere by himself. At first I was like how could he do this to me but now I understand because we both have a lot of growing up to do. To be honest I kind of mothered him more than being his girlfriend. Well I guess my question is has this happened to anyone else? Did you guys get back together? Also if you didn't get back together you think that we can stay friends? I can give more info about it just let me know but I know that I love him and I really don't want him out of my life completely can someone help???

Guys dont do the "friends" thing well.
Reason being that we are different, territorial.....so when another guy comes into the picture and you sleep with him, you are damaged goods and allowed another onto the territory.

That being said, you REALLY need to give him his space, but not in a sarcastic, "stick it to em" way. In other words don't go flaunting your new dates in front of him.

I would say to go out a little but keep it clean and let him have his space. Call him once a week to say hi...etc.

Dont smother or come over to his place to offer token affection.

Going out on short friend dates and keeping it clean makes you desirable, not flaunting it makes you respectable and still open to him.

I will let you know. My ex and I broke up 2 years ago, we had a son moved in a small apartment. We get along great now, maybe just needed some growing up. People say we have the strangest relationship they have ever seen, we are like best friends. I'm trying to figure out how to ask her if she's ever thought about us getting back together. It could be different for you because in my situation we were forced to keep in contact because of our son. I hope any relevance in my story will give you a little hope.
