My recent ex told me his ex-wife was dying from some type of cancer... when in fact she is not. WTF?

thats his excuse to be in another relationship, you should be thankful you're not with him anymore, otherwise he'll be telling someone you're gonna die from some sort of cancer too...

Without more specifics or back story, I can only speak to what you've said..perhaps he isn't lying? Maybe that is what he has been told and he believes it. Or it could be a ploy for sympathy..? Maybe he's trying to get some sympathy romance from you. I don't know. There are many reasons people lie. Mostly selfish reasons!

he might try to get some pityness from you

or more good relationship with u that he fas not satisfied from his ex wife.

haha! ever see that episode of sex and the city where the guy lures women by prtending to be mourning his wife's death. yeah, that kinda reminds me of that

The reason why I think that he would be lying about that is because he still might be in love with her.

he wants u back using pity, he waz probably planning on tellin u she died, its a pathetic way for a desparate person to get an ex back

I have no idea but maube were he could spend time wit her and you not say anything because you thought that she was sick so you would let him spend time with her and you would not think anything of if.
