Yes!!! It is so rude when someone very slow gets in the left lane and 'cruises'. The middle lane is permissible for any speed, right lane should only be for slow drivers and people entering/exiting highway.
When you are in heavy traffic and someone slow stalls up the left lane, it really causes problems!

ABSOLUTELY. I wish there were roving militias to shoot out the tires of anyone that did not obey this rule. In Mexico it is a law... although I'm not sure if anything including the word Mexico can have credibility.

In Massachusetts along the Mass Pike for most of the distance there are only 2 lanes. Usually people follow this general rule.

In California people have 5+ lanes to choose from, but no one seems to agree that the lanes should go from fast to slow (left to right). At non-peak times, it is still impossible to set your cruise control for 65 and drive 30 miles without having to slow down. It is not uncommon for you to be trapped behind a rolling roadblock of 5 cars that all think 56 is the ideal speed. The will drive this speed for miles and never think that maybe they should stop blocking the road for the miles of traffic backed up behind them.

Just because the speed limit is 65, does'nt mean you should hold up traffic by going just 65. If the flow is going 75, you deffinetly should not be in the passing lane. The other sign on highways says ..."Slower Traffic Keep To The Right".....Its only curtious to move over for someone wanting to pass.

YES!! The left lane is the passing lane. If your not passing you should stay to the right. In Europe there is a large fine for staying in the passing lane, and i think we should start doing that here.

Always - the left lane in for passing. It is a good habit to get into even if there is no one else on the road

Definitely! This is usually a problem with women drivers staying in the left lane and causing road rage from everyone behind her!

Not unless you want to get yourself killed by another car, you should move over. On the interstate, you can get a ticket. You should always stay on the right. (except to pass.)
