Well, some people don't seem to understand the difference between a book and a scroll. so.....
as you've been told elsewhere, a good KOSHER Torah scroll could be $30,000 although I've seen them up to $50,000. however, second hand non kosher ones can be bought for little more than $1000. Take care though if you need a kosher one. they can be repaired and brought back to kosher condition - AT A PRICE!
Also, unless you're Jewish, most sellers won't sell you one as they are considered to be far too holy.
Finally, the Torah scroll is only the first five books of the bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy). The only other scroll generally found is the Book of Esther - traditionally read at the festival of Purim.
To be Kosher, the scroll is made from the skin of a kosher animal, kosher ink is used and the whole thing must be written by a very religious and observant trained scribe, hence the cost.

The Torah is composed of the "5 books of Moses". it is what's written on the scroll that Jews study from in synagogue. The Torah is a subset of the Tanach, which consists of the Torah, the Writings and Prophets. (TaNaCH is an acronym in Hebrew for those 3 communities of writings.) This became translated from the Hebrew to the Greek to make what Christians call the "previous testomony". the interpretation is diverse, as is the ordering of the books. Jews do no longer use the "previous testomony" yet particularly the Tanach. yet differently the word "Torah" is used is to communicate with the revelation at Sinai. as a effect the "finished Torah" became printed to the Jews at Sinai. It became transmitted orally, until the "written Torah" became amassed by way of Ezra. The "written Torah" is (returned) what's written interior the scroll, the 5 books of Moses. The "oral Torah" is the call of motives and understandings and teachings that weren't written down, yet exceeded alongside from Moses to Joshua, etc. for the period of Jewish historic previous. ultimately, in the process the Babylonian Exile, the "oral Torah" became compiled and written because of the fact the Talmud. it is complicated, exceptionally while Jews communicate approximately something "written interior the oral Torah".

A good quality torah scroll, properly written, costs about $30,000 new.
A bible can cost up to several hundred dollars (new) depending on the quality of the publishing.
