The clothes and toys should be in good condition (no stains or tears on the clothes and no broken or missing pieces for the toys).

Try the Salvation Army and Good Will. These companies will sell them for profit to help run their organizations.

Other agencies: Good Neighbors, Battered Women's Shelters, Day Care Centers, and other local groups that are charity based. Your local churches may have lists of families in need of good clothes and "gently" used toys.

Your local Domestic Violence Agency, they are always in need of donations, they run off of state grants and donations. So this would be a wonderful place. Most families leave with just the close on their backs. You can usually find their number listed in your yellow pages or call the National Hot line Number and they will give you the one that is local in your area. national number is 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) Good luck and God bless

any homeless shelter, there are usully many consignment shops who will sell them again for you. There are also usually hospital run 2nd hand shops. They usually get a small percentage. They are great places to shop for kids clothes too!
Get nice stuff at a store & knock arounds from the consignment.
When the kid grows out of the fancy stuff, turn that into the consignment, then they will start to have fancy stuff too!
