Yes I do. Especially on the news. It is so weird how they blame the whole war on the Christians. What is the deal with that? I constantly hear its war against Christians and Muslims. I have not heard one single Christian minister say we need to kill Muslims. It is like they create the conflict by just calling it out to be something they want, and the people follow. It's like the pied piper is playin the worlds tune. I feel, if they don't preach violence and killing of others, then how can they be the cause? But, for the Christian who is being accused, they should be excited, because you know what time it is. All the finger pointers and accusers will all be left behind, then they will turn on each other. So, when the kind and true hearted leave, thats when all Hell is gonna break loose. You can tell by the happenings around the world. I am hearing of wars and rumors of wars, arent you? How about all the children killing one another? Maybe, the weather changing extremely around the world? How about the swift introduction of new laws to invoke the New World Order and create a one world Government? Bypassing constitutional laws for their own agenda. Taking out in God we trust and removing the ten commandments from all federal buildings. Allowing late term abortions and supplying birth control to minors. How about all the people popping pills? How about the rapid decline of animals and sea life around the globe? So, does it sound like the Christians are in control? No, but they get blamed for it. Why? Because it is the END TIMES... So, wake up and live your lives right. Your just a passing breath, what are you gonna do with your life, which is only on lease?

I have found that when it comes to any religion, media and movies will show the worst stereotype they can get away with. Certain religions, such as Judaism, are treated with more respect because they can get sued for discrimination, but to portray Christianity and now Islam in a negative light is encouraged. Paganism (particularly Wicca) has had an upswing in movies and shows that try to portray it in a better light, with a protaganist who uses "good" magic and wins in the end. While this is going on, Christians are seen as bible-thumping maniacs, or the topic of religion isn't discussed, making one think that atheism is becoming the next big trend.

I don't think it's possible, strictly speaking, to be in a majority position with power and be discriminated against. Loosing favoritism and special treatment is not discrimination. I can't think of any example where Christians were truly and wrongfully portrayed in any movie I've seen. (Which is really not all that many, so a bad study sample, I guess.) And I rarely see bad things about Christians in the news. In fact, I can't think of any offhand except the molestation scandals, which have quite a bit of truth in them, apparently.

Before you ask this question, you really have to think more carefully about what you mean by media. Do you mean every single piece of media out there? Cause there is an awful lot of it.

But to answer your question, no. I don't think Christians are discriminated against by the media. I feel that a lot of people, particualrly American Conservative Christians like to feel like they are being discriminated against, turning themselves into victims to bolster a feeling a self-righteousness. In reality, your average American Conservative Christian has absolutely no idea what its like to be discriminated against.

Try putting yourself in the shoes of an Untouchable in India, a rape victim in Saudi Arabia or Falun Gong member in China and then tell me about the discrimination you suffer.

Better to be discriminated against in the media and movies and control everything else than the other way around.

But I don't believe they are anyway.

Yes. Until the world sees the truth, the media and the movie industry will continue to dominate and keep their views as what we see and hear as the "truth". The real question is, "Why do we care so much about what movie stars and such are doing, saying and etc....?" Their only belief system is themselves and we buy into that. WHY???????

Not generally. I do feel that the regular, ordinary Christian does get unfairly stereotyped based on the actions of and reactions to the religious extremists who tend to get all the press these days.
