If you want to make a genuine cheesecake that's MEMORABLE, you won't. Don't let a springform pan intimidate you! :) All you have to do is put half a package of Oreo's in the cuisinart until they are crumbs. Toss with half a stick of melted butter and dump the whole mess in your un-greased springform pan. Press the crust with the tips of your fingers, until it is all spread out on the bottom and up the sides. Then bake it for 10 minutes on 450. Pour in your batter and put it back in the oven. After 10 minutes, reduce the heat to 350 and let cook another 40-45 minutes. Your guests/family will be SO much more impressed! WORTH IT! :)

Yes but to make the real thing isn't very hard. You can use chocolate gram crackers or even Oreo cookies or sandies work well also, put them in the blender, melt about two tablespoon butter (too much makes it fall apart), and put the cookies or gram crackers in the blender and mix press it into your pan bake for 5 to 7 minutes in a prewarmed 350 degree oven a little more if you are doing the pie. Finish off your cheese cake or cheese pie :-)
Yummy cheese pie
2 tablespoons lemon juice (optional)
2 8oz cream cheese
1 can condensed milk
mix in the blender pour into your crust, refrigerate 24 hours. makes a perfect cheesecake pie.
I top mine with cherry pie filling

No, just the ones that don't need baking. For a baked cheesecake, you need a pastry or shortbread kind of crust.
