I think people love their dogs so much because of layalty. Dogs are always there for you no matter what happens. They are our best companions and i have heard stories of elderly people having dogs and when one or the other passes away, the other is soon to follow. They truly are a man and womens best friend!

Dogs are loyal and nonjudgemental. When you walk in the door they make you feel like the most important person in the world. Did you know that the entire time you're gone, all they do is wait for you to come back? They don't care how old you are, how much money you have, etc. all they care about is you.

LOVE is painless,unconditionally,loyalty,patient,honest,nonjudgemental,understanding,comforting,waiting 4u2 come back,happy 2cu,fat or thin,sick or well,rich or poor,stupid or smart,ONE OF THE BEST FEELING IN THIS WORLD, and I would hope that u and others can get that feeling from a pet , trust me it's much better than getting it from some human that really don't love u with the true meaning of love . My dog was the only one who sat with me all day watching my mother die, and yes I have sisters and brothers. Now do u understand what I mean, pets r better!

Because the dogs are subservient.... you are the boss. You decide when the dog eats, where the dog goes...
Because the dogs are not as smart as we are... they can't lie to you or deceive you; they never make you feel inadequate.
Because the dogs are easy to please... they are thrilled with a stick, some dog food or some petting; they never need a fancy house or yacht.
Because dogs are not critical... they won't notice or care if you are ugly or have bad breath or pick your nose

I have three children and a dog. My dog never complains about "nothing to eat" when the cupboards are full. "nothing to do" Never asks for money. Never rolls her eyes at me. Mostly listens to me.Stays by my bed when I'm sick (even if the rest of the family is eating pizza downstairs). She's awesome!

I believe it's because dogs return affection and devotion (i.e. love)
unconditionally, if they're treated well, of course. Or something to that effect. Dogs may not be human, but they are living beings, and we as humans have the intellect to feel how they (dogs) respond to us.

I don't know about other people but I LOVE MY DOGS!!!! they give me unconditional love, they're almost human like, when I have cramps they'll come and lay by my tummy and on my back, when my feet hurt they lick them, when I have a cut or scrape they lick it, when im sad or crying they comfort me....I can go on for hours.......They love me no matter what

I love mine because she's loyal and always seems to know when I'm having a bad day. She'll snuggle up to me and give me doggie kisses when I feel bad.
She'll never leave me, cheat on me, or betray me in any way. She'll love me whether I am skinny, fat, ugly or pretty.
She will not judge me, no matter what I do.
She's beautiful and smart. She is patient and loving.

I love my dog. She has the sweetest personality. She is my companion. I love coming home to her after a crappy day at work. She's always happy to see me!
